my son turns 9 months on the 18th of april and he already has 6 teeth!!!! he cut his bottom two at around 6 months ( i think) and then he started to get the top 4 all at once, the little white lines asawari refered to came thru all at the same time but the two front teeth cut about a week and a half before the two either side, it just goed to show all babies develop in different areas at different times, my eldest child didnt get her first tooth til 9 months

My baby Girl Just got her first tooth and has been so upset the past 2 days!! she sleeps well at night but in pain during the day!! any ideas what helps the pain?

How do you know when a tooth actually "pops out"? Are you ladies checking daily? I felt her gums yesterday and felt two bottom teeth, and i could also see them a little bit. Now i feel like a bad mother for not noticing before that.

Well My daughter has five teeth now and is working on her 6th! Once I noticed she was teething I went out and bought her the gerber teething cookies and they worked wonders!! I'd say it took her about 3 days for the tooth to really come in! and it seemed like more were sprouting up everyday after that!

depends on the baby, most that i know got the two top or two bottom around the same times. and how long they take to cut through, its impossible to tell. My daughter has 8 now, getting her first two at 3 1/2 moths, but she has a mollar that i can feel under the gums ive been able to feel it for about 2 weeks now and it doesnt seem to be making any progress, dont know if its because its a molar or not though.,

Hopefully her teeth cut fast though. my daughters gone through a few tough ones.

My baby girl just got her first tooth 4 days ago, and her second popped out yesterday...it only took about 4 days for the first one to come all the way through, and the second one, it took only a few hours! Its so exciting isnt it?? :)

i think all babies are different my wee man has 3 teeth got the first 2 at 6 months(christmas time) and has only just got his 3rd a few weeks ago and is about to get his 4th i think he wont let me check his gums so its kinda hard to tell. My friends baby has got 6 teeth in the last month so you ever know whats going to happen. once the gums are hard you should get teeth iv been using stuff to help cut the gum

Really my sons didn't he got one when he was 6 months down the bottom then the one beside it didn't come through til 8 months. Now he is 9 months the fangs up the top have come through together. Their teeth are so sharp too pretty exciting!

:) You are so excited!! I was too. My DS turns 9 months on the 17th of this month. He has completely cut one bottom tooth. The one on the top of ths bottom has also cut through but is only a couple mm out. The one next to it was a white dot 2 days ago and is now a translucent white line. This is how it goes. A translucent dot for about 2-3 days. The a translucent line is visible, this stays for about 2-3 days and sometimes longer. The tooth at this stage pushes hard and cuts out. You will see a pure white tooth come out. From white line to a good tooth is about a week's time. (All these time lines are for the first tooth). After the first tooth is out the others sometimes follow right away. Supposedly, all the 4 teeth break skin, come out till about 5 mm and then grow together to a complete length. Be careful, the two top front teeth, cause more irritation and pain than the bottom ones.
