4 weeks pregnant with 2nd baby. 6 weeks too early for the Dr. Visit?

My first I went in at 8 weeks. This time it'll be 6 weeks. I'm worried it'll be too early and I'll have to just turn around and go right back in a few weeks. I know I'm a cheapskate, but it's $20 each time I go. I know no money is too much when it comes to health and stuff; but I feel great, I have more energy, and I'm hungry all the time :) If they waited to see me at 8 weeks last time, what the hurt in waiting 2 more this time?

Any thoughts?
....I know, I totally was rambling ;)

I believe I went in at about 6 weeks with my second. But I have to say that I am surprised you have to pay for every visit. I only had to pay for the initial check up and all the ones that followed were no copay. Can't you just call and see what the Dr. suggests. I couldn't wait I was too excited, although pretty much all I did was a pregnancy test and they weighed me in. Good luck and hope all goes well!

I think the earlier the better. But I really don't see any hurt in waiting until 8 weeks especially if everything is normal thus far and you aren't having any problems. The only thing they're going to do anyway is give you a pregnancy test and a script for vitamins which you can buy over the counter for the time being.

I found out I was pregnant when I was 4 weeks. I seen the nurse to confirm and scheduled my first prenatal appt and that was when I was 8 weeks then didn't go back until I was 15 weeks and got an Ultrasound!

Most places won't even schedule your first appointment until you are around 10 weeks...they can't hear the heartbeat and even on an ultrasound there wouldn't be much to see at 6 weeks. I would call and see what they think about waiting to see you. After all, like I said, most other places won't even see you until you're about 10 weeks, so I see no harm in waiting if they will let you!
