Any 10 month old walking yet?

My little girl is 11 months old on friday (19th) and she wont stand on her own for long. She'll stand for litterally about 10 seconds then stick her bum out and sit down, crawl off and drag herself up to walk along the furniture. She'll walk if you hold her hand or put her on her reigns or if she is holding onto something or her push in-front walker. I think it might be to do with her size - she's still in 3-6 month clothes, size 0 shoes and weighs 15lb 4oz? She's very chatty but I'm just worried lol; but she'll go at her own pace I think. My nephew Leon was walking at 13 months, his brother Josh just before 10 months and his sister Beth was 14 months so all kids are different I think x

My lil man has been walking since he was 9 1/2 months, he is everywhere and into everything....I love it now I don't have to carry him everywhere!! We thought he was gonna walk before he crawled, he was pulling up on everything and cruising the furniture before he started crawling, he did finally crawl but didnt do it for very long!!! Now he is at the stage where he wants to climb on everything, caught him the other day trying to climb on my entertainment center!!! LOL!!! But my mom says he is just like my brother and that equales TROUBLE!!!!

my daughter is going to be 11 months this upcoming saturday and she has started to walk the beginning of the month... she has lately been taking more steady steps and on her way to walking better. she started to pull herself up when she was 9 months and walking along furniture about 9 1/2 months but didnt take those first 5 steps alone (YAY) until the first of the month.

My 2nd boy was born on 15th July and started walking about 10.5mths... Now, he's trying to run about with his elder brother who is 39mths old... Comical sight....

Hey there! yes our daughter started walking two weeks ago. she's doing about 7-10 steps and then falling down. but she's still cruising and crawling more then anything!
its sooooo much fun! and a lot better then having to bend down to hold their fingers all the time!

Caio does the same thing. LOL

What I do to encourage him is put a toy on my head and keep the distance. He will then walk for it - now 8 steps sometimes. If I don't have a toy on my head he will sit and crawl over to me.

Started walking at 10 months 1week about one or two steps. we are now at 11 months 2 weeks and he is running. We went to the mall today (it wasn't very full) he walked up and down the corridor for almost an hour!

My son started taking his first steps at 8 months and by 10 months he was a walking machine. He will be one on July 7th.

My san was born July 8th, he isnt walking or even crawling yet. He walks holding onto our hands but thats about it. The doctor said when hes a year we'll talk about getting him into something to help him get going, I hate waiting, but thats what I have to do.

My Daughter is 10 months, she was born on july 19th and she has been walking since she was 9.5 months. She was very determined and got it fast. She is our third though so she watched her brother and sister and got it pretty fast.

My lil girl was born July 24th 2008 and has been walking since she was 8 1/2 months and now crawling is in the past or obsolete.... now all she wants to do is walk, run or walk up and down stairs... its kind of nice that she is more mobile...,

yeah ive been tryin now since he was about 5months old... he hates everything and when he does have a little bit hes sick all the time.. dont get me wrong he is lovely and chubby but milk isnt giving him everything he needs..!! im going to look into it. x

Have you tried to feed him solids consistently? They generally don't like new things at first, but eventually get used to them.

But yeah, it may not hurt to have a different doctor look at him. I would think it's ideal for him to be eating solids and sitting up by now.

my health visitor says all babies are different and he will in his own time but he is soo different to my daughter.. i mean he doesnt even eat soilds all he takes is milk, im going to make an appointment because something isnt right going off what everyone says hes well behind..

Hey, Beckie.

Have you talked to his doctor about it? I believe that most babies (90%) should be sittting without support by 7-8 months (that is what I read).

Wow! My son was also born on July 16th, he's cruising but not walking without help. He even is climbing. He'll move his jack in the box over to the coach (pushing it as he crawls) then stand on it to climb up!

Yes she has taken 4-5 steps on her own and is going ALL over the house holding on to furniture etc! We are definitely in for it now :D

my wee man will only walk if hes got hold of something but has taken a few steps by himself last month but then got really sick and everything went down hill he wouldnt even crawl it was like having a new born hes great now i dont want him walking yet as they are meant to spend so many hours crawling but every baby is different walking means more speed

my lil guy has been walking for a few weeks now he can walk over stuff and tries....sometime manages....to walk up and down small steps but he has been crawling up stairs since he was about 8 months....now i have to chase him and i almost wish he wouldnt walk yet lol

My daughter was 10 months on the 30th of May she has been taking small steps from 9 and 1/2 months and has just started cruising round everywhere this week its so sweet she steps over things now as well.

my mother-in-law said he was really skinny and light. My son is pretty chubby, but he is moving well. 2 steps today, stop, didn't fall or hold on to anything, and then 4 more steps to get to me. :)

My daughter is 10months old and has been walking for about a month now. She is stepping over and on anything in her way. She gets a bit excited some times and trys to run which has caused some falls but she is progressing in leaps and bounds. My partner and I are getting married in July so we were so excited when she started walking, we now have a flower girls dress on order for her...lol.

My son is 10 1/2 months and has been walking since 8 months and can now run around. I feel like it takes the baby out of them, now I look at him at as a toddler. But it makes my heart swell when we go to the beach and can have a little stroll together. On the downside he no longer likes being in his stroller or shopping carts but he is very good at being allowed to walk around in public and hold my hand, as soon as i set him on the ground he reaches up for me and we hold hands through the store! I barely remember that little tiny 7 pound lump that needed me for absolutely everything, such a little man now...oh my time flies too quick!

My son will be 11 months on july11th. He cruises around furniture but as soon as he figures out he is standing alone sits down he just doesn't want to LOL. my 2 year old started walking just b4 he was 10 months old. Every baby is different :-)

My daughter is 10 1/2 months and has been walking since 8 1/2 months. She's very steady and will now run to me when I come home. It's so much fun now because we live in Orlando and when we go to the theme parks, she'll get out and run around the play areas.



This past weekend she started climbing stairs, first on her knees and then walking up them by holding the rail. She's growing up too fast!

my daughter is 10 1/2 months and she doesn't walk on her own yet. She's a chunky thing and they say it takes a little longer. I get fusterated sometimes 'cause i compare her to my other daughter who was 7 months when she walked. I have to remind myself she will when she wants to.

My daughter was born on July 24th, and she just started walking a few days ago. She can now walk across the living room, even stepping on and over toys. It is so cute!

My son turned 10 months on the 31st and your son is further ahead then mine. My son will stand there for 30 seconds or so and then sit (frustrating) but he will walk with a push in front walker ....but otherwise it is a no go for him! Wish me luck!
