So my first son Aiden turned 3 on July 20th! And I gave birth to his baby brother Jacob on July 25th! Aiden is great with Jacob, still a little bit rough but thats to be expected. Definitely underestimated the situation of having a newborn and a toddler though. Like I've done the newborn thing, but never with a toddler running around too! Just wondering what other moms experiences are with bringing home baby, and having a second (or third or fourth, etc) How did you handle it? What did you find challenging or frustrating?

I am expecting my second son November 5th. My first (Aiden), turns 3 November 17th. I am worried 3 years difference is too much, but I am so glad he is potty trained & can do things on his own more & more to help me with his baby brother. I was actually less worried about what to expect with my first child. I knew it would be hard, frustrating & amazing. I was actually surprised it wasn't as challenging as I had expected. But with baby number 2 & a toddler running around, I don't know what to expect. I'm actually really nervous.

Thanks for the advice!! :) i am certainly glad that my 3 yr old is potty trained and a good little helper! I couldnt imagine having to feed and change 2 at once!! I mean we do what we have to as moms but Kudos to you, your amazing! :)

I have all girls aged Mary 3 yrs, Maycee 12 yrs, and Tessa 13 yrs. When Tessa was born it went pretty smooth because no other baby was in the house. Then when she was only a few months old I got pregnant again and before Tessa was even a year old I had Maycee. Bringing Maycee home was more challenging because I now had to feed, diaper, and change 2 babies of different ages on different schedules. It was hard I was usually holding and feeding 2 babies at the same time. I finally got the hang of it. I thought I was done with having kids. My babies were nearing teenagers and I got pregnant again. Bringing Mary home was not hard at all because my other 2 were older and could help. They didn't fuss about they really wanted to help. You will get the hang of it.
