How do you make the baby cereal in the morning?
I've been always making it with formula, but I heard some people use just plain water. Is it ok?

I use water with my daughter's cereal but the package also suggested adding a few spoonfuls of a fruit puree to add flavoure so I mix with water untill its thick and then add some pear & banana, apple & mango or blueberries, pear and & banana puree and combine untill its a consistancy that she likes. She really loves her cereal now that it is more flavoursome and it has added nutrients.

I give my son 4 oz of Gerber juice and mix that with the baby cereal. He LOVES it!

Sometimes I use formula, and other times boiled water. It's more creamy with milk, but water is fine too. I'm also starting to introduce cows milk in his baby cereal too, which I do every now and then. My bub isn't very fussy, so he just goes with the flow which makes it easier if it's not time to prepare a bottle or if your in a rush. Tomorrow I'm going to start him on weet-bix instead of baby cereal.

i used to make my sons cereal with water and that worked fine...but he wasnt getting enough formula so i do it now with formula and that helps get him to have more so i would suggust doing it with formula that way you dont have to worry about them not getting enough

dr said formula OR cereal will work as far as getting necessary nutrients, so I suppose both would be a double-whammy? :) I've always used breastmilk, but when I've made it too thick or I haven't pumped enough I just add a little Infant Water. I give him some to drink after a few bites too...I just think the cereal seems kind of sticky...

I use formula for the "extra nutritional value" as it states on the packet I have. But the directions use water. If I don't have any formula ready and dd is getting ultra impatient I just use boiled water.

I use boiled water or formula milk. I used to just use boiled water but was told Grace doesn't really get enough milk each day so i've been sneaky and added a couple of scoops of formula to her cereal :)

I use water, not even boiled, just plain water. Sometimes I use breastmilk. He seems to be fine either way.

Yes, I have heard that you can use pre-boiled water. My ped said that I could use formula for my cereal even if it says to use water so that's what I do. Just check the cereal package - some say right on the front "just add water" and others say "just add formula or breast milk". I guess it's just a personal choice anyhow???
