My daughter is 7 months old and weighs 20lbs, so she is close to out growing her infant carrier. The next step I guess would be a convertible car seat. I was looking for reccomendations if which brand or particular one may be good. I also need to consider the size of the car seat as my car is s 2 door and has less room in the back seat then a 4 door.

I have a Costco Alpha Omega too!  I love it.   At most Babies R Us they will let you take the floor models out to your car to see how they fit....

I recommend the Sunshine Kids Radian 65 Conv carseat. It keeps your child in a 5pt harness until they are 65 lbs, unlike most seats which turn into a booster but then use the cars seatbelt. It's not wide and bulky as all the other car seats on the market. It is extremley heavy though, but if you plan on keeping it in one car then that should not be a issue for you. Read the reviews on amazon.........hope this helps your search.

I honestly have no clue how it would fit in a 2 door. We had a 2 door when our daughter was born and there was no way the infant carrier and us were going to fit. So we upgraded to a mini van (ugh). Good luck finding something. Maybe contacting some manufactures of the convertible seats or your car dealership could help.
