Does anyone else's children have a problem with Hair cuts?! mine acts like he's being tortured. I refused to put him through it for the longest time, but he needs his hair cut! I need HELP!! how do I get him ok with it...also same thing about cutting his nails and toe nails....I'm at a loss!!!

I tried to do the counting it worked the first time and not again! and about stepping back...I tried that for whatever reason he just can't stand it!! and I won't even let my husband do it....I just can't...

Brandon cried when he first started to get his hair cut.. Then one of the ladies told me that just move back and sit in another chair and let her handle it.. He was fine.. She told him he could pick out a sucker when she was done and I sat down with my mouth shut.. I was making it worse than it was.. He wiggles and moves his head, but he doesnt fight or cry anymore.. Try letting the professional handle it.. I also count Brandon's fingers and toes when I clip them, but he doesn't fight me.. I guess because I have to clip them so often he just expects it (at least once a week for his fingers).. He use to say "mommy its gonna hurt" but I showed him on my nail that it didn't hurt and he was fine after that.. Good Luck.

I tried that counting thing...it worked once...never again! and the hair cuts I have to physically hold his head, body and arms...I can't stand it...

my son is the same, with the haircut, but i just get thru it as quick as possible then its over 4 him, nails i started 2 get him 2 count the nails i was cutting, just try and take his mind off wot big bad mummy is doing is all i can suggest
