Foods cause bad diaper rash?

Has anybody noticed if certain foods make poops acidic and cause instantanious diaper rash? My daughter had such a bad diaper rash right now which I can usually cure in a day or two but this one is so bad I wanna cry to look at it, and I DO NOT let her sit in dirty diapers. This happened in 15 - 20 min at most. Has anyone seen this as well? Any correllation to certain foods? I think maybe it's her carrots which is terrible cause it's her favorite veg.

Yes!! In fact, I just took my 14 month old to the doc the other day for shots and because of his horrible rash. The foods that cause his are carrots, too, and anything with tomato sauce like spaghettio's or spaghetti. Desitin did NOT work and his doc prescribed a cream that had it all gone in one day. I would take him in cause my son's rash was so bad it blistered, bled, and oozed and the doc said with rashes that bad you need to take them in for a prescription cream or they can get really infected. I hope this helps!

She could possibly be allergic. The acidic things that i have noticed to give diaper rash are tomatoes and apple juice. Those are the only things i have found that effect my daughter so far and she eats everything. I hope you find out what it is causing it. Good luck to you and your daughter.
