My other son Ryder who is now 4 was sleepin through at a couple of weeks so im not used to it!! Leven who is just one, doesnt have any milk in day at all but on a night he wakes usually twice and screams!! He was going back to sleep after them but now he just cries to get in our bed with us,, and i must admit a few times i av had to put him in with us just so i can get some sleep!! I have tried to let him cry and just leave him but he can climb out the cot and he wakes my other son up! Also when its time for bed i have to get him to sleep downstairs in his chair then carry him up when he is asleep because if i put him in the cot awake he screams!! Yes i have tried putin him the cot awake and leavin him to cry and i kept going back up and layin him down without talking to him and when i came back downstairs i heard a bang!! Yes he jumped out of the cot! anyone else share these problems!!!!

My now 10yr old was a climber too. walked at 10mo and climbed from crib at 11mo. I put 2 baby gates in door to keep him in after he fell asleep. I also lowered the front rail to crib to floor make it more like a toddler bed with taller rail. He wouldn't roll off at night but could climb without getting hurt. I then moved the rocking chair in his room and alternated between rocking to sleep and just sitting there quietly while he layed in bed. Sometimes I pretended to sleep on floor while he layed in bed with my hand in his crib by him. Hope some idea helps...

does your son have a dummy?? my daughter used to wake up around 3am every night but only becuase she dropped her dummy and couldnt find it, on her 1st birthday she was diagnosed with swine flu, she didnt want to go to sleep by herself or be by herself so i let her sleep in my bed with me and i would rock her to sleep, it did wind me up as she was in my bed for nearly a whole week, now she is better she is going to bed by herself again but she now has a pillow in her cot and a toddler duvet as she feels more comforted she also has a really soft teddy with a blanket attached to it and that sends her straight to sleep, hope it works out for you, i couldnt cope with still being woken up during hte night as she has slept throught form 3weeks old, good luck xx

I have the polar opposite to your house. Our First Born got us trained to get up and tend to his needs. Our new one sleeps through the night unless he has a major issue, then he's fine.

However...You're little one is quiet the Climber and screamer. I noticed you have both babies in the same room? or is he just so loud that he wakes up #1?

If his real issue was milk, you'd just have to leave him a bottle in his crib and walk away. I don't see that in your post. He thinks he needs you and he will seek you out.

You've got your hands full with this one. Have you ever tried moving the "Chair" into his room and doing the bedtime routein in his room? Can you use a child gate on his door and make him stay in there? Have you ever thought of using a portable DVD player and letting him watch a movie to go to bed? Or installing a TV so he doesn't think he alone? These are just thoughts. They might work.

my son kenzie who is 13 months wakes up 4 a drink a couple of times a night too we found out he is waking more because he is teething and he's using his juice to comfort him maybe your son is teething again too try tiring him out more and just as he's about to go sleep dont let him then put him in a warm bath after his bath give him a small drink this should make him sleep through it has worked a couple of times with my son but now his teeth are really sore if it doesn't work then try giving him plain water instead of milk because then he will realise that he is waking up to something plain and boring and wont want to bother :)
