I also used the Nuby sippy cups because of the soft spout. I feel like we tried a ton of different brands before we settled on that one. My cupboard is full of random cups!
At first I let him play with it at mealtime and eventually started putting water in it until he got the hang of it which was about a month and a half. I have only ever given him water, and he loves it at his mealtimes. Just in the last week he has discovered how cool a straw is and loves the cups with the built in straws. You might want to try that type of cup as well.
Mason is breastfed and I have tried pumped milk in the cup, and he was not a fan....I think that will take time.
Try to get your baby to transition with water first and once they get the hang of that re-introduce the milk.
Good luck, and Kami is correct- some kids never use sippy cups and just move right along to glasses....don't get discouraged.

It took my daughter a couple months to really figure out her sippy cup (and I tried three or four different types). For a while, I just took the valve out so that the water or juice would pour into her mouth more easily. Just keep at it. And don't get discouraged -- some kids don't ever use sippy cups. They'd much rather just drink from a glass (as my daughter did until she figured out the sippy cup).

My son doesn't like the sippy cup either, he plays with it instead. What i did is i bought the gerber juices that come in a cup and he drinks it like that. It's a regular cup but perfect for them.

My daughter is breastfed so she tried to suck on the sippy cup the same way and of course that doesn't work. I got her the Nuby brand cause it's similar to a bottle and it's soft. She started chewing on it and realized that water was coming out so for now that's how she does it. I had no luck with any other kind.

Try giving her a water (not as messy) and take the valve out of the spout. That way, she will learn that she can drink out of it, because some of the cups have valves that you have to suck really hard on. It may be that she isn't getting anything out and is discouraged. Once she figures out what to use the cup for, put the valve back in so you don't have a mess everywhere!

Give her an empty one ( or full one if you can clean it up) just to play with so she can get used to it. You may have to try a couple of different types of cup. I know some mum's have had luck with drink bottle with built in straw,
