How many found out what sex their July 2008 baby was prior to birth?

We found out the very first dr appointment. The dr heard her heartbeat and said it's a girl. Sure enough when we went for the ultrasound a girl. Than at the 3d sonogram we were told it was a girl. And sure enough that is what we had.

As soon as I found out I was pregnant, I had this strong gut feeling he was a boy and was drawn automatically to the boy's clothing at the store. My son wasn't shy at our ultrasounds and my husband and I could see everything. Even then, people kept saying that the u/s could be wrong but everyone stopped talking once they saw the 3D Ultrasound! The was no denying it then!

i found out and they were right...almost wrong lol cuz the first tech thought it was a girl...but i have decided when i have the next one i dont want to find out i want it to be a suprise

Little Danecia did not show a thing on any of the ultra sounds, so no matter how much I wanted to know, it was kept a surprise until her birth on 3 July 2008.



My husband was adament that it was a girl, I was the one who wasn't sure. And also all my friends and family passed on girls clothing, so if it was going to be a boy I would have had to buy everything myself. Luckily everything worked out well.

I didnt find out until with my first until 36 weeks I didnt want to know but was convinced i was having a girl, had to have an ultrasound at 36 weeks and I could see his bits on the screen as plain as day. I found out the second time at my 19 week scan I was having another boy I couldnt help myself. Then with baby number 3 at my 19 week ultrasound I was praying for a girl as horrible as it sounds and the senographer said it was a girl I was so excitted then she said there was an 80% chance it was a girl that there was no boy bits but that they could drop later well that just shattered my dreams lol she had to add the 80% I had a lot of ultrasounds as i was high risk and one said a girl the others said it was to hard to tell at the late stages but number 3 was a girl I did ask the dr to check when she came out and to show me to be sure I would have love a little boy the same but my family is now complete xoxoxo

I didn't find out either time!!! and it was such a lovely suprise, girl first time, boy the second!!! another reason i didn't want to find out was because my cousin was told three times that she was having a boy, decorated the nursery blue bought all blue clothes and then ended up having a girl!!! i'd rather not risk it!!!!

I found out he was a boy on the fourth ultrasound.  The first, he was too young to tell.  The second, he was hiding his gender from us and refused to move his knee, and the third, he was letting it all hand out for the world to see.  I had to have a lot of ultrasounds because I was high risk, and it was quite amusing to have male doctors and technicians because they always liked to confirm his gender by getting him to shake his money maker!

I agree, Hayley. It was SO hard to wait, but it was totally worth it. What an amazing surprise. And it was so curte when I had her, cause then everyone went out and bought a TON of girl things.

Neither myself or my other half wanted to know whether we were having a boy or girl and it was the best surprise I've ever had and i'm so glad I waited, it was wonderful waking up to find my baby girl lay on my arm!



I had several ultrasounds and on none of them the sonographer couldn't tell (we asked whether she knew). Grace had her legs firmly crossed to keep herself a surprise!

I think deep down I knew she was a girl, I had a dream before I found out I was pregnant (although I had conceived) that she was a girl, I was doing a pregnancy test and the test was flashing pink and blue and landed on pink, from that moment, I was convinced she'd be a girl!!



As for planning, we bought lots of neutral things and we've only just finished decorating her room which we started last June! Its spring green and yellow - I figured there was plenty of time for her to decide she wants pink!!



We then had lots of pink gifts after she was born so i'm glad we waited, she was the best surprise I could have ever imagined. I love her so much!

We found out that it was a boy because like your son he was not hiding anything.  Personally I don't think I could wait 9 months to find out...I'm too impatient.

We wanted to be surprised when the baby was born. My husband had several baby dreams and each time it was a girl. I only had one baby dream where the gender was known and in the dream it was a boy. I had to have several ultrasounds and had to remind the ultrasound tech's not to show/tell. In the end we had a baby boy!

Definitely!  My hubby and I can barely make it to Chritmas each year! haha...I was high risk but waited the extra couple weeks to be sure before I asked, then I had an abruption and had about 2 ultrasounds a week for the last month and each time it was a girl ( i was afraid it would be a mistake!)

No, we didn't find out ahead of time. We simply told the ultrasound techs we didn't want to know and they respected that. Since it made no real difference to us, we thought we'd leave it a surprise.

We found out with our 2nd son who was born in July 08 simply because we were building our house and needed to know if we could simply use most of the clothes and stuff we had from our 1st baby (who was a boy) or whether we had to buy girl stuff this time. I had a feeling it was going to be another boy as i dreamt about it and the sonogropher confirmed he was a boy at our 19wk scan he was also not shy in showing us what he was. We didn't find out with our first because we wanted it to be a surprise but i had a feeling it was a boy since again i kept dreaming it was a boy. And he was which was great since i was one of three girls and my husband was the only boy out of three and there were no grandsons on either side at that time so it was extra special.

We found out on the ultrasound what the sex of our 3rd child was. They were correct. I could see it better on this ultrasound then one the ultrasound for our 2nd child. My 1st I wanted a surprise. But I just knew he was a boy, and he was.

i have got three boys,with my first in 04 i got told by the ultrasound technician that it was a girl.we bought a lovely pink leatherette pram,and lots of pink clothes only to find out 4 months later as i  was giving birth it was a boy!! then my 2 in 05 we didnt find out,and with baby number 3 in 09 we found out he was definatly a boy!!

i'm unsure weather i would find out if we had another one,but that is not on the cards for another 6 years at least

I knew he was a boy without them telling uds just had a gut feeling I had to go back the next day as they couldn't see everything and he wouldn't move. But I was right a wee boy I didn't know if I wanted to know for sure but my fiance did and he got his wee man (looks just like his daddy too). Next time I don't think I will tho

I knew from the moment I knew I was pregnant that I was having it girl, mothers intuition i guess but we had the ultrsound to confirm and she was deffinitely not discreet! I wanted to find out so I could shop and plan for our daughter not whoever came out. But you never know next time we might wait for the surprise, I'm not good at surprises thought!

I had no problem planning and decorating without knowing what I was having. The wall was yellow. We found nice gender neutral bedding that we still love. And we got a lot of green and yellow clothes, which I still love. We've barely changed a thing at all to her room. Planning is easy. Now, for subsequent children, I could definitely see where planning would not be so easy.

Nope. We didn't find out. When it came time for the sonogram I wanted to know SO bad, but my husbad wanted to wait. It was the best surprise ever! (a girl, by the way)

My ultrasound tech tried to check when i was 10 weeks prego, and she thought I was having a boy. But when I came back in for my 21 week ultrasound, we could tell for sure that she was a girl. I wanted to know what I was having the day I found out I was prego so I could start decorating her room!  =)  It is amazing what you can see on those ultrasound machines.

I was high risk too and so had lots of ultrasounds.  We went in for the ultrasound and there she was, all sprawled out for the tech!  I was the last girl in my family (31 years!), so we were excited to know she was a girl...

yer i found out only because he was my six child and i had all boys clothes left from the last one and we needed to no if we had to go buy girls things or not and it was very hard to pick a name after so many kids it took us 6 months to pick one lol as we could only think of girl name and we new it was a boy

I only had one U/S and DD3 wasn't going to make any of it easy on the sonographer. I got a 70% chance of a girl though. I already had lots of baby girl clothes from DD2 and a friend gave me some boy things when she had a clean out. If it had been my first I don't think I'd have bought lots of pink on a 70% chance LOL

Because DD2 was DP's first we didn't even ask although I had 3 U/S because of GD. I didn't want to know at all with my first 2 either, so my last was also the first time I even considered asking about gender. I only had 1 U/S for each of my first pregnancies too.

We did! And the ultrasound tech was correct. First time around she moved so much we weren't sure but the second one confirmed it was a girl.
