My 7 month old baby poops on average about 2-3 times in one day. She started eating solids when she was 5 months old and before that I fed her only breastmilk. Now that I've added formula and solids into her diet, I feel like she may be pooping a lot. Is this normal?

Well, think about it this way, what goes in must come out....so depending on how much she's eating, that will give you a good idea on what she'll poop (most of the time! =0)

Yes so very normal! I would be concerned if she wasn't pooping... I get worried if my little man hasn't pooped all day, then usually the next morning there's a heavy load in the diaper for me. My guy goes 3 maybe more in a day... if it gets really runny then be worried... because of diariah... and hydration issues.

Thanks everybody for the helpful advice. I guess deep down I knew she was ok, but I just had to hear it from other mommies too :)

I have a 20 month old boy, and he has always pooped between 3- sometimes 5 times a day!!! I've never been too worried about it, unless it was diarrhea... As long as they are gaining weight, staying hydrated, and it doesn't bother them.... then why not?! lol.

I find that I am even more of a poop watcher now than I was before! I find that my son gets constipated really easily now that he is on solids and no longer breastfed so I'm constantly checking for hard little poos and adding prunes and pears to his diet! Oh the joys, eh?!? :~)

Absolutely normal. My 7 month old poops up to 3 or 4 times a day sometimes. There was a point where he went 14 days without going but when it came he made up for lost time. No need to worry! The Golden Momy Rule...If It Isn't Bothering Baby, It Shouldn't Bother Mommy! :)

My son Jayden is 7 months too and he poops like 3 times a day to...sometimes more!!! I don't know if it is normal or not because he just started doing it since he started babyfood. He had formula and cereal at 5 months and usualy only pooped once a day but when he turned 6 months and we started him on baby food he started pooping at least 3 times a day.
Some days he will poop once others he will poop 5 times! lol.....but mostly it is usualy about 3 times a day.
