I have been running a private day home, Due to my conditions with my Cancer I'm going for surgery now I've givien all the parents i watch kids for a months letter that i will not be able to care for there kids cause my health and the care of my son is needed, And I want time to heal the right way. I have one set of parents show up last week with unknown bruising on there daughter's face, on her right eye was a burise from my house which the parents were notified immediatly at the time there daughter was injured in my home. They now said that the day in question that the father "accidently washed her face in make-up" I took pictures of her face and I asked her "who hurt your face? She told me it was Mommy and Daddy. I told them I was reporting them to cps, The next day i didn't have the kids and on payday I sent a text stating when they'd be over to pay me and then they stated that I did that to their child. I called the cops, I have witness' that I'm not aggressive, I want to know what to do? I've never been here b4, But my husband and family think i was set up by them for this b/c they didn't want to pay. Any suggestions on what i do from here? They also brought their kids back here twice after this so called incodent and told me their daughter was afraid of coming here when the last time i saw her she gave me a hug ran to the toy room and watched tree house.

I would agree with your husband.Did you call CPS? if you did you should be fine because it shows they are just saying you did it after you reported them plus they brought her back twice after. Also good luck with you treatment

This has scared me into not wanting to run a day home, I have all the situations with these parents on my calendar, it's like my bible, it has everything i need in it. I am closing down my dayhome for these next 3 months due to my surgery. Everyone I've talked to said it was a set up, to hide what they were doing at home with their kids, and i was the sucker. And they didn't want to pay. What kind of alternatives are there for running a daycare?

If you have documented the situations, then you are covered. It sounds like they are trying to get out of paying you. If you decide to continue operating the day care, I would not take them back. If your looking for alternatives to running a day care, let me know.
