My son is going to be 10 months on the 9th and he's not liking the 8 month baby food... He's seems to gag and not like the texture.. Ive been giving him the 6 month food and he loves it still. any suggestions, or any other 10 month olds doing the same?

My son doesn't like it either (maybe it's a boy thing?!?) but I think it's the flavours too- he doesn't like anything with meat (except ham) in it...I just don't bother with it. He eats cheese and yogurt and ground beef...and this week we started flakes of ham (which he loved!) and going to try flakes of chicken next. I'm interested to see if he will eat the chicken or if he's destined to be a vegetarian!

My son didn't like it at first but I insisted for a week then he started enjoying it (I used to smash his food in the 1st weeks) 1st time he took 3 spoons then started looking like he wanted to vomit... now I give him the whole jar and he'll take it, sometimes he eats in 5 minutes!

hey i know this may sound crazy but my son did the same thing. Up until about 5 days ago he would only eat the 6 month old food. I dont know what the baby food is like where u are from (Im in Australia) but all the 7-10 month old food here is kinda wierd flavours and I dont blame my son for not wanting to eat it.LOL. I thought he was choking and gagging coz he didnt have many teeth yet but he just seemed really hungry, like the 6 month old food wasnt filling him up, so out of curiosity I bought some 10-15 month old food from shop and he cant get enough of it. It seems he skipped the whole second stage solids. LOL may be worth a try??
