My daughter's first birthday will be on July 8th.
I was wondering if anyone had thought of what they will do for their little ones first birthday. I am also trying to find a cake recipe for her that doesn't involve using so much sugar!

My son is going to be 1 on July 9, but we are having he's party on the 4th... He loves Mickey mouse, so we are having a Mickey mouse theme party... just having a bbq with family and friends about 20 people will be here. Hoping it will be nice out so we can have it outside..

We are having a "surfs up!" theme complete with a smoothie stand and kiddie pools.
I am going to invite about 20 people I think...and the suggested attire is board shorts and surf gear...
at least thats the plan for now...we'll see :)

For those who are having the party outdoors, are there lots of flies where you live? Any suggestions on how to keep them away for the party?

By the way, I received a catalog the other day with just 1st birthday ideas. I got some cute ideas for Caio's party. www.1stwishes.com

I'm having a Disney Princess birthday party for my daughter who will be 1 on July 2nd. Since her birthday is on a thursday, we are going to have it that saturday (July 4th). I'm getting a bounce house for the bigger kids, and a ball pit for the little one's. We are having a bbq and we will finish it off with fireworks. I can't wait!!!

A small group of us will gather, light candles, and remember, and then later that evening the whole family will be getting together with us for a bonfire in his memory :)

Miss Miley will be 1 on July 17. We have a small yard, so we are having her party at my parents house, where have 2 acres to run free! We are renting a bouncy house and having a pool and a couple slip'n'slides. Then we are going to bbq hamburgers and hotdogs and have salads! I am getting excited for it since its only a month and a half away, but in another sence, my baby isn't going to be a baby! It's amazing how fast that year went! I just don't know what theme to do! I found a website...www.1stwishes.com...its all 1st birthday items! Theres just to many to pick from! Hope you all have a fun 1st birthday and Happy Birthday to all the little ones!

My son and I share the same birthday, and we're planning on a lakeside luau. We live in the North GA mountains, and there is a beautiful lake really close by. For a cake with little sugar, try an applesauce cake.

We're having family come down from NJ and since I don't know too many people around our new town, that's all we're going to do. It's going to be nice though, having the family together! :)

I am worried about too much sun but need something active, so we are having the party at Gymboree. To cut down on sugar I am thinking of mini cupcakes (and reducing the sugar).

My baby girl is turning one on July 3rd. My plan was to take her to the zoo, with family and friends. I think it will be an enjoyable visit. Afterwards probably going to return to my house for a BBQ and cake. I'll make one cake for the adults, and one for the kids (little to no sugar)

Mycah's birthday is July 24 and we're having a BBQ in the park. We rented a pavilion with lots of picnic tables and there is a playground right next to it, a ball field, and a place to fish. I'm thinking I want to do the sesame street 1st birthday theme but haven't really decided yet. There will be lots of family and friends and one very special birthday boy!

I am having a party with my family (which is a lot of people already!) and some close friends. It will be the middle of winter in 6 weeks time in Australia so I am having trouble deciding where to have it. My house is too small for all the people that I am expecting. I wanted to have a bbq at the park but it will probably rain or be cold and windy!

My daughter turns 1 on 13th July and I think I am going to hire out a hall as I have too many friends and family with children to fit in my own house.

The theme will just be all things pink I think and I'll maybe get a bouncy castle too. As for food it will just be simple, sandwiches, mini sausage rolls, mini pizzas, mini hot dogs, crisps a few sweets and then the birthday cake will HAVE to be pink!!

I'm soooo excited for my baby having her first party hope every1 enjoys the day!!

My best friend's baby turns 1 on July 3rd, mine - July 25th. So we're going to have a get together in between. No theme, no cake, just playing and presents.

My little guy turns 1 on the 4th of July. It's so perfect because it falls on a Saturday! We're just going with a 4th of July themed party...bounce house, water activities, food, family, and friends. We feel so blessed that he is as healthy as he is now. It's definitely a day to celebrate!

my baby's turning one on the 11th and I'm planning of a beach themed party, but just for family and very close friends. But since July here in the Phils are usually rainy, I guess I'll just have a nice lunch party indoors

we will have a gathering of friends and family at a local park. we have a picnic shelter reserved (it is near the playground) and there is a free splash park there as well that the kids can use. thought about the house but realized we would have to rent chairs and tables so went with the park. have fun planning!

My daughter turns one on the 28th July, and i'm hoping the weather will be nice enough (we live in the UK and our Summers aren't fantastic usually!!) to have a party/bbq out in our garden with family and friends. I'm going to bake a cake and decorate it all girly I think. I don't want anything too over the top as she won't really remember it but I'm definately doing something as its a memorable occasion!!! Hope you all enjoy planning your little one's birthdays!

Caio's B-Day party is (almost) completely planned. :)

Little lion. I am doing it in the back yard. I am going to rent a bounce house for the bigger kids and kiddies pools for the babies (supervised by each parent!).

For food mac and cheese, mini pizzas, mini hot dogs (or piggie in the blanket), and for dessert cake, ice cream and some brazilian chocolate balls (soft and caramelish -0 YUMMY!!!!).

Hallmark has the little lion collection and I am just improving it by adding more items, backgrounds, LOTS of ballons... following the same color scheme.

I have no idea what I'm going to do. I was thinking of having a small gathering with just 10 or so close family members, but I kinda want to invite some friends, too. I definately want to have it at our house.

I also would like a cake recipe without much sugar. I've thought about maybe making a carrot cake.
