What time does your child's bedtime routine begin? What time do they go to sleep an wake up in the morning?

Bedtime routine starts at about 8 PM. Normally, she's asleep by about 9:15 PM. She wakes up at about 7:30 AM. Weekdays, she has a 1.5 to 2 hour nap starting at about 1 PM.

Wow! So late, my 3.5 year old goes to bed by 7:30 and is up about 6:30/7. My husband and I love the evenings to catch up with one another/ watch our shows etc. we have also found that no matter what time she goes to bed ( 8,9) she is up by 7, so we might as well enjoy our evenings 😘

Her routine of reading two books and singing a few lullabies starts around 8 or 8:30. She's usually asleep by about 9 9:30. I had recently heard in an early education class that I'm taking in college that tv or computer time stimulates their brain and that takes about two hours to wind down. So she gets none of that for at least two hours before bedtime, and she's been going to bed a lot easier now. I can't say that it's guaranteed, but it works for me :)

We start bedtime at 8:00, brushing teeth, going potty, changing into pajammas, reading a story, then chatting about our day. Lights out at 8:30. Sometimes if he can't get to sleep we let him play in his room for a little bit then try again. He gets up about 7am/8am, depending on how tired he is.

Sherine (and Caylond) is usually in bed by 9 or 9:30...she always gets back up though. We let her get back up a few times before telling her (once and for all) to go to bed.

Our schedule has been messed up for a while. Somehow we are on a 1am - 11am sleeping schedule. I don't like it, but my little guy resists naps as hard as he can and then he ends up passing out around 4-6pm for a nap and will do nothing but scream if you wake him up. It is very frustrating. It's not so bad right now since my other kids are out of school, but I hope we are off this schedule by the time it starts again!

She goes to sleep around 10 pm right now- and wakes up around 9. It's okay for now because I'm out of school for the summer and she hasn't started preschool yet. I've been trying to switch her schedule around but she kicks and screams when she has to go to bed. I know this may be changing the subject- but do you have any advice for this?

My son is in bed between 8 and 9pm, he wakes up anytime between 6:30 and 8 in the morning. I guess it depends on how hard of a day he had. He sometimes does not take a nap, I think he is starting to transition out of them. When he does take a nap its from 1to 3 hours. His bedtime routine will start as early as 7:30 with a bath, books and settling in.

I usually start the process at 7:30, he falls asleep by 8:00 if he hasn't had a nap. But if he has had a nap then I start the process at 8pm and he doesn't fall asleep until around 9pm. Thankfully he sleeps through the night, occasionally in the night he comes into my room and I just let him sleep with me.

My 3 year old goes to bed close to 9 pm. Sometimes its later. On the weekend she has stayed up to midnight so I have learned that I need to put her to bed. She has to get up by 6:15 Monday thru Friday. She was getting a two hour nap every day but her new shcool only allows 1 hour which is not a good sleep period. This is her first week doing this. I noticed that she is tired but not cranky at the end of the day. I might have to move her in bed time to 8:30 pm.

Lately it all depends on what kind of day it's been, how nap was, the last time he had anything with sugar, ect.
We hope to get him to bed by 9:00 every night, but it doesnt always end up being that exact time every night. We try to start our routine around 8:00-8:30, but like i said, it all just depends on how well he's wanting to obey us that night.
Typically he wakes up between 7:00-8:00. Sometimes he wakes up earlier. I gave up the set routine months ago... we still do the same things, but i leave a lot of the decision making up to him when it comes down to how much we do before bed. (example; Last drink of milk or not, watching a movie with my husband & i or reading books, ect.) Doing this has thrown off the "exact timing" & what not. But it makes bedtime less of a battle, & we enjoy our time together at night more.

My son and daughter (4 and 2.5 years old) both get ready around 7pm. We brush teeth, go upstairs and pick out books...read for about 20-30 mins then bed time. They usually fall asleep right away and wake up between 6am-7am. Neither nap any more so, they are ready for bed at the usual time most nights!

Right now we have her start getting ready around 9ish, some nights she gets to stay up later, but is always in bed between 9 and 10. She gives hugs and kisses goodnight, goes to the bathroom to go potty, we brush and floss her teeth, brush her hair (sometimes I braid it) then she gets into her jammies. After she's dressed she gets to pick out the books we'll read (she gets 2 if she was good at bedtime the night before, and 1 if she wasn't...she really loves books so we've found this to be the best reward for going to bed without a fight) Then she cuddles up in bed with Bob (her stuffed monkey) and mommy or daddy reads her story(s). After story time we turn on her nightlight, talk with her about what she wants to dream about give her kisses for sweet dreams and the light goes out and she gets one "freebie" call to mom and dad, which when she actually uses it she's usually asking for a drink. She's allowed one drink at bed time since we're working on night time potty training and not letting her have a cup of water in her room at night is part of it. If she calls us in after that before actually going to sleep she loses a story for the next night (we had many bedtime issues before we started this...she'd call us in for any reason just to avoid having to go to sleep). She usually wakes up between 8 and 9 in the morning. Sometimes we get woken up earlier, but it's usually because she had an accident, or woke up and needs to go potty, then she goes right back to sleep. We no longer have a nap time either. On days she seems tired or cranky (or sometimes when mommy or daddy is having a cranky day) we have a "quiet time" which is where she goes to her room lays in bed and watches a movie on our portable dvd player for an hourish. She sleeps better at night now that we no longer are making her nap when she doesn't need it anymore.

I just finally got my son on a proper schedule again. We moved and it threw him right off! He now starts getting ready for bed at 730 (brushing teeth, potty, story time, washing up & jammies) and is in his bed by 8. He usually falls asleep by 815-830 and is back up again at 630 in the morning. At daycare they allow him to have a two hour nap from 12-2 , but he usually only sleeps an hour.

My two year old son goes to bed around 9pm. He's actually asleep within 5 minutes thereafter. He wakes up in thew morning between 6am-7-30am. During the day he may or may not take a nap but i leave that completely up to him. Whether he naps or not doesn't affect his bed time or the time he wakes up.

It kinda depends on the day but we usually start winding the kids down around 7:30. Then story, prayers, and songs are done by 8:00 and they go to sleep. Our night routine is usually done in their room with the kids in their beds.

I usually let them wake up on their own which is between 7:00am and 8:00am. I'm going to start waking them up and getting ready at 7:00 so they can be ready for swim lessons starting at 8:45a.

I hope that helps. My kids run pretty well on a routine schedule. It's easy on the parents too.

My almost four year old and two year old twins are in bed just before 7 and are passed out by 7. Bedtime routine starts with a bath at about 5, dinner about 5.30, play time, teeth and it finishes with a story or five. They are all awake by 6.30am regardless of the time they go to bed... however by the time 7pm rolls around they are all asking to go to bed which is FINE BY ME! They have had this approximate routine for so long that they actually really like bedtime (as do I) and it is nice for me to have some downtime at the end of our busy day!

If he does nap its no more than 1hr but for the last month or two he hasnt been taking a nap except for a day here and there which is fine cause he sleeps through the night and he doesnt have melt downs really. This is Sunday through Thursday. Friday and Saturday Hes asleep no later than 10pm if that and hes always up at his normal time unless hes sick. He goes goes goes all weekend with no nap. But hes also a kid that you cant even tell when hes missed a nap like most kids. He has always had an early evening melt down time since he was in the NICU at about 530-630pm he has always had a little bit of a melt down period nap or no nap!!
