Oh wow, my son who will also be 2 in July, did the same thing a few times...It was nasty let me tell you!
Usually in the morning when he woke up and was to quite for us to hear him, and then when we realized he was awake it was too late.. everything had to be washed and dissifected, nails clipped and scrubbed..LOL
I noticed that he wears jumper PJ's that zip up from toe to chin- he cant get to it - and so far no more smelly parties in the crib.

Hi,
I agree with Cindy, it's not that unusual. I've met plenty of parents who've gone into their child's room in the morning only to discover a poo painting on the wall!
Make sure he knows that it's not nice and maybe introduce him to the concept of the toilet. If the whole area is interesting to him toilet training might not be far off.
Hang in there!
It's a gross phase but just a phase!

because he's normal. It's warm, it's smelly, and it's what they do.
As long as you don't encourage the behaviour he will stop. Just try not to puke or gag when he does it. But don't laugh either. Try to stay calm, and tell him that's discusting and you would like it if he didn't do that. Good luck.
