My baby is 14 weeks and I started him on cereal about 2 weeks ago and it helped slow down on the eating every 2 hours also you may want to try offering binky instead of bottle and talk to the pediatrician they are always there to help. Remember asking for help is what shows strength in a mom

If that is what works best for your baby, by all means - keep doing it! :) If she is a happy, healthy baby, then you are doing just fine. Don't try other food. Breast milk/formula is all she needs right now.

My son eats every 2 hrs as well during the day, I would not worry to much as my doctor said that it is ok for them to eat that often just dont over feed because it can cause vomiting or spitting up a lot. We tried my son on a small amount of rice cereal in his bottle and it is not really making a difference but if we up the amount it makes him sick so I feel he is just not ready for it yet. All babies are different though!

I just started my 3 month old on rice cereal. I played with a spoon in his mouth for a little bit. I then made cereal with formula (or breast milk), that was very thin. I rub the spoon against his upper gum. He then is able to eat it. It will be messy at first since babies naturally thrust their tongues out (the way they suck on a bottle or nipple). Use only rice cereal since that is the gentlest on their systems. Using breast milk or formula as the liquid will add nutrients and also make it taste more familiar. Make sure that your daughter is sitting up when you feed her. I use the car seat/carrier on a chair or the couch since I don't think he is ready for a high chair yet. Good luck.

i wouldnt feed her every 2 hours, are you 100% sure shes hungry? My son eats 8 oz every 4 hours... but he sleeps all night so he drinks 24 oz a day of formula. She shouldnt start solid foods or cereal untill she is 6 months old unless her pediatrition says otherwise. Is she crying is that why you think shes hungry? Maybe shes bored, or tired... i know if my son is up more then 2 hrs straight he needs a nap.
