we take the day however it comes. not on a very rigid schedule. the things we do try to keep the same time each day is bible reading for the kids (eldest 3.5years) at about 5pm, then dinner at 5:30/5:45pm, bathtime at around 6:15pm and both to bed between 6:30 and 7pm. depending on when the last daytime nap ended daddy will either sit with older brother playing in the bath while i dress and breastfeed little one, or i'll put older brother in bed and dad will sit with little one till playing in the bath. both of them usully sleeps within 5 or 10 mins

My daughter just turned 9 months yesterday. We have pretty much the same schedule every day. She wakes up sometimes between 6-7am and I nurse her and put her back in her crib. She generally falls back asleep until 8 and sometimes 9. Sometimes I take her in our bed in the morning if she wakes up a bit later than 6-7 and nurse her in there. Once we are up I get her breakfast ready. Which consists of whole grain cereal and some fruit. I make most of the baby food myself. Some of it she doesn't like but likes the jar so I alternate foods. We play on the floor with her toys and sometimes watch some kids shows together in the morning while playing. She'll go down for her nap approximately 2 hours from the time she woke up. Usually around 10-11. Once she wakes up around Noon, I breastfeed her. Then I let her play some more on the floor with her toys while lunch gets ready. She has vegetables for lunch and I usually cut up a few pieces of fruit for her to eat with her hands. (Mango, raspberries, blood oranges or bananas....she loves these) Then we play some more. Now that the weather is nicer and hot...we go out after lunch for a nice 1-2 hr walk around the neighborhood. There are a lot of parks and bike paths around here that are beautiful to walk through, and she loves being outside. After our walk we come home and I get her ready to nap. She'll go down usually between 3-4. She only sleeps for about 45min-1hr. Once she wakes I nurse her again, then play until supper time. She doesn't use the jolly jumper as much anymore, now that she is crawling all over and exploring. She'll eat supper around 5:30-6:30. Which is usually always cereal and a bit of vegetables, sometimes fruit. Any snacks I give her in the daytime are usually just rice rusks (like baby mum mum's) . We jump in the bath anywhere from 6:30-7 and play in there for a bit. Then its pj time and i nurse her, then put her in the crib and read to her for 30 minutes or so. Then lights out by 8 and she goes to sleep, sometimes right away but other times it takes her to about 8:30 to be asleep.
My daughter cries sometimes as she is waking up from her naps. I don't know why. I figure she either got woken up by something (a noise , etc..) or she just wants to know where we are. I can deal with it though...I just go and say hello and she is all smiles again!

Thank you for you help! My son has had a scheduale for a long time now but there is always room for improvement!
5-5:30 wakes up to breastfeed, then goes back in crib
7-7:30 wakes up again to breastfeed then cuddles/sleeps in bed with me until around 9
9:30 eats breakfast (1/2 banana-cut up, oatmeal and maybe some puffs)
After breakfast, plays in jumper and listens to classical music. We he gets bored or when I want to play we go on the floor with all his toys and put on Baby Einstein.
Around 11 or 12 he gets sleepy and goes down for an hour nap, could be longer, just depends.
Depending on when he went down, say 11, then he will breast feed when he wakes up, or if he goes down around 12 I will feed him then.
Whenever he wakes up he will get lunch (fruit, vegetable and grain) I have always made fresh baby food and have not started meat yet.
He will then play on the floor for a while with his toys while I get some other stuff done or finally eat my lunch, if I didn't with him.
Around 3 he gets sleepy and will either lay down with me or take a nap in his crib for about a half hour.
When he wakes up he will get a small snack (puffs, yougurt snack or fresh homemade juice)
When Daddy is home, he is alot more spoiled then when its just me and we just play with him or let him play independently which ever he chooses.
Then around 7-7:30 we get ready for bed and he gets a 4 ounce bottle, to wind down and is in bed around 8-8:30.
-Daddy is in the Coast Guard and has a very demanding scheduale so isn't home nearly as much as we would like (nothing we can do about it)
-Also we live in an apartment and have no park or nice yards (all made for dog pooping ~gross~) down to one car for a while so can't go anywhere but when Daddy is home we try to make it outside!!!!
Also if anyone can help he always cries when he wakes up from his nap and I don't know what to do about it. I have tried letting him know I will get him right away and just letting him cry for a while, nothing helps! PLEASE HELP!
Any room for improvement, let me know!
Thank you!

I set my alarm for 6.45am every morning, sometimes Alex is awake and greets me with a smile when I go in, occasionally (not often) he is still asleep, if so, I wake him at 7am. 6oz bottle at around 7.15am, followed by some oatmeal mixed with milk, first nap around 9.30am for anything up to 1 1/2 hours, 4 oz bottle around 11.30 followed by a jar of stage 3 food (usually some sort of veggie). 5 oz bottle around 2.30pm and then a second nap for about 1 1/2 hours around 3pm. 4 oz bottle around 5.30pm followed by a stage 2 pot of solids. Bath around 7.30pm, last 6 oz bottle and bed by 8pm. We spend the day playing on the floor, he loves to crawl around the downstairs area (everything is baby proofed) and he's very good at pulling himself up to his feet. He runs around in his walker occasionally and every morning after breakfast he is in his exersaucer for a little while until his food settles (and mummy can get breakfast for me). If we go out to the store or park, we do it after his first nap. After his second nap, we go for a walk. I also encourage him to walk by holding his hands, and we are learning to eat his little snacks and try and take a sippy cup (not very successful with that so far). Hope this helps. x
