almost 5 month old losing her hair??

I'm pretty sure it'll grow back. It may be a totally different color and texture than what she has when she was born though :)

I love that once our kids are born and we finally get to see what they look like the wait really isn't over to see what they will look like in a few more years! My son was so blond and now at 2yrs it is starting to get darker. My daughter was born with really dark hair and it seemed that every time she got a bath it got lighter...my mom told me to stop washing her color out lol. It's now a auburn color and it is still falling out but since birth she has had shorter hair under her long hair and it seems to be staying in place and the long ones are falling out more. I don't think she will end up going bald but it is deffinatley thining out:(

yes its normal,, my son was born with a full head of dark brown hair and gradually its been falling out and he is now 19 weeks and i can see new growth coming back through which is a dark blonde colour,,, he looks like he has a mini mullet as the hair on the back of his head is still the original..



As for the general colour that can change from when they are born and again by the time they are 5 so its a wait and see i suppose...

My son hair was thick when he was born.Now after 5 months his hair is getting thinner & thinner. My mother told me that it's normal. But I'm little worried also.

Thanks guys! Like i said my son had very little hair at birth so i never had this problem and now her hair is really starting to thin out. Maybe she will regrow blond hair like her brother has and we will stop getting weird looks when we go out as a family becasue my husband and i both have brown hair and our son is blond adn daughter brown lol. My husband and myself were both blond until we were about 3yrs old and our sons is now starting to get a bit darker:)

It's normal. My daughter is 5 months and looks like she's wearing a hair piece. lol. It's all at the top of her head...like that is the only part where it is not falling out as much and is growing longer. lol. She has little patches around her head with just a little hair. It's wierd because she had a full head of hair when she was born. They will lose their hair and get "new" hair. Some babies even start to lose hair and then start to grow a different color/texture of hair.

My daughter's head was covered in thick black hair and she lost it all a few months later and is now just starting to grow back at 21 weeks....It is very normal for bubs to lose their hair..

It is normal for young babies to lose all their hair at the same time because in the womb it all started growing at the same time. She will regrow hair slowly.
