We were having this same problem until I started buying Huggies Overnights. They are awesome. The are extra absorbancy for long nights. We no longer wake up drenched throuugh from leaky diapers any longer. I suggest trying them.

Try going up a size from the diapers he wears during the day and at night maybe try a nighttime diaper in the larger size also. This work for my little man:) Good luck!

Going up a size is what I have usually done. But please consider if your son is also drinking usual amounts. My youngest DD was wetting through her clothes and drinking heaps. Turns out she had diabetes. Don't want to scare you but keep an eye on him.

nighttime diapers should def work. I use them on both my girls for naps and bedtime.

Babies R Us sales what is called diaper booster pads. They are pads that you put inside the diaper. I have been using them in my daughter's diaper for a couple months now and she has npt had a leaky diaper since.

The Fisher Price nighttime ones are terrific, my daughter has never managed to leak through those. The other thing that we were doing before the Fisher Price ones came to the stores here, I bought a bunch of the extra absorbant re usable liners for cloth diapers, I woulod put that insert into the diaper that we'd change right before putting her to bed, she never leaked again, so long as we kept ahead of what size diapers she is in. As they get too small they tend not to hold as much pee. Good luck.

I agree with going a size up. The other thing you can do is get the nighttime diapers that are extra absorbent. Pampers makes a good one and so does Fisher Price.

We always took that to mean our kid needed a larger size in diapers. Once we moved him up, the peeing-through would stop. Also, we noticed that Pampers Cruisers were better for our son, and the Pampers Baby Dry was better for our girl. Hope this helps!

This kept happening with my little boy too, I found that by going up a size (size 5 now) he hasn't leaked through since!

i have same problem with my 21month old, do you give him a night time bottle? i have started to cut down on his drinks & it seems to have helped & also i find them orange pack of pampers the best :)

We had that problem when my son was younger. We've had the best luck with Luv's and Pampers brand and go up a size a few pounds before the box says to. He's in fives now and 29 pounds but next box I get I'll probably bump him up to the six's. He's been filling the fives pretty full. My hubby tends to forget to tuck our sons penis so it's pointing down in the diaper and we have a lot more leaks that way.

We have the same issue. Bigger kid, more pee. Did you try overnights?

Back before my daughter was potty trained, she had the same problem. I ended up going an additional size larger in diapers, as well as limiting liquids as we got closer to bedtime. I've always used Pampers Baby Dry, because she (just like many) breaks out to the dry max you find in a lot of diapers.

Another solution is cloth diapers. They're really nice, much cheaper in the long run, and you can buy extra absorbing clothes to add for overnights.

I have had the same problem with my son. I normally change him just before bed but also find that the Aldi (junior) nappies are the most absorbent. We have the odd morning where he is wet but not often. Hope this helps.

my 22 month old son is in a size 4 diapers and has never had a problem with his diapers leaking. even over night. we use pampers baby dry. we had a problem with leaking huggies and luvs. maybe limit the amount of drinks they have before bed...(mine does drinks right up until bed)

We have the same exact problem and just like some of the other mom's responses, we use Huggies overnights and the work GREAT. I tried to just not let my son drink a lot right before bed, but I don't like to deny him water if he's thirsty.

id use the night time pants until he is ready to go potty my girl was up for it a couple of times but now out right refuses to go on it. i havethe same issues some nights other nights its barely wet until she gets up and you seethe concentration, being our coldest autumn in two yrs im not going to potty train her til our spring/ summer in dec. but i do sugest when he is ready put a matress protector ( it crinkles becasue its placstic type thing) as i know that a lot of ppl had issues with thier child hanging onto the wee/poo until the night when they got the night pants on.i hope this helps and good luck

Have you tried the ones make for overnight use. My son leaks through overnight with a regular diaper but he has never leaked through an overnight (Huggies) diaper.

We had the same problem with our little boy. I eventually I found huggies night time diapers which work great! I have to get them a size bigger than the other brand I use during the day. It seems that both of our kids have large bladders bc I had to put night time pull ups on my daughter and it took her a little longer to go through the night with out having an accident.

I used to have the same problem, but usually used to happen when sleeping. I tried a size up and never had the problem again. Im potty training my little one now, its so hot where we live and if i take himout in a daiper he screams till i take it off. So i get nervous when taking him out because im afriad he might pee anytime. Im making it a habit to put him on the loo every 45 minutes, and i take a few undies and short changes with me just incase he decides to leak anytime...

Fisher Price has diapers, which was news to me, and they are great. I got a big box of them and don't have the box any more but I think they were called Haapy days and Dry nights. I would be shocked if your son leaked through these!! They work great for my son when all the other leading brands did not.

With boys, if you haven't figured this out already, it helps to make sure they are pointed downwards. Also, Huggies Little Movers are the best diapers that I've found as far as the amount of pee they hold. I have three in diapers, two special needs older children, so it's pretty important that the diapers do their job. ;)

My daughter was having the same problem. We just moved up a size and it seems to be a lot better. I would do what someone else suggested and just put the plastic bottoms over the diaper when he goes to sleep. My daughter doesnt move a lot in her sleep so part of her problem was that she laid in the same position all night and all her pee went to the front of her diaper.

Same problem with my son. It is frustrating. Huggies seem to be a little bit better.

We have this problem too. Sometimes he just pees too much at once that the diaper can't keep up. I've tried lots of different brands and huggies works the best. It only happens occassionally now, which i can handle. We also have the problem of going so much at night that he wets the bed. I had to start buying huggies bedtime diapers in a size up from his regular. That works most of the time. Maybe try using just the bedtime diapers all the time, if a certain brand doesn't work or just going a size up doesn't work. They are made to hold a lot more.

I am also having the same problem! My son is 22mths and in the largest size made!! My husband gets frustrated too and wants me to cut back on the amount our son drinks..I am just using store brand diapers and figure that it is the brand more than anything. But with him being in a size 6 I am not sure what else to do either since the next step is pull ups and he is not ready for those :( Good luck though :)

One size up tends to work. sometimes we tent to just look at the size, but i realise with my first daughter when that started to happen I had to go by the weight and copmair the brands of diapers. Eg the same size 4 might have two different weight avarages on two different brands. And 22 mths is almost 2 years. If u start potty training it will help with the nightmraes of the leaking diappers.

Maybe try a bigger size? That has helped me in the past, even when my child has been squarely in the middle of the weight range for one size and seems nowhere ready for the next size...then trying the next size has helped leaks. Or I wonder if you would want to try those plastic cloth diaper covers over the disposables?
Good luck!
