Anyone having trouble getting their baby to eat?

My little girl just turned 6 months old and we have been trying different cereals (rice, oat & barley) for the last month without a lot of success. She has been exclusively breast-fed and spits out all of the cereals. Any suggestions on getting her going on solids?

Maybe try baby-led solids. Offering soft finger foods rather than mush on a spoon. If you google 'baby-led weaning' there should be lots of info and there's also a book by Gill Rapley. There's no rush to get solids into her - she'll still get most of her nutrition from breastfeeding for awhile. My boy has just turned 6 months, we've been offering him food to chew, he loves it even though he's only swallowed a tiny bit so far. Good luck!
