At 7 months old, how much is your child eating during a 24 hr period?

My baby is just 7 months old and weighs 21lbs. Shes a big kid but by no means over weight. She eats about 2 whole jars of Gerber food, 3 tablespoons of cereal and about 30oz of formula during the day. She is still waking several times during the night. Is there any way to get her to sleep through? Is this not enough food to carry her through?

my daughter eats about the same as your son. cereal for breakfast then a jar of fruit for lunch and vegetables at dinner. She has around three to four- 6oz bottles through out the day. She still wakes up at least once a night for another bottle.

My daughter will be 8 months on March 14th and she eats a 4oz bottle of formula and a 2nd stage jar of cereal & fruit for breakfast, a 4 oz bottle of formula and a 2nd stage jar/cup of fruit or veggies for lunch, a 4 oz bottle of formula and a cup of whole grain cereal mixed with veggies for dinner, 2 snacks (morning & afternoon) consisting of about 2 oz of formula or juice and a cup of fruit or veggies, and a 4 oz bottle of formula before she goes to bed. Most of the time she doesn't eat her full 4 oz bottle but her doctor said as long as she is gaining weight/developing well she is ok with her eating 20-24 oz of formula a day. The older they get the more baby food they eat and the less formula until they switch to milk.

Hey my daughter is 8 months and 2 days old and she has about 6 tablespoons of cereal depends on the kind we vary right now shes eating raspberry and yougurt cereal, an hour later has an 8oz bottle... lunch time she eats about half a jar of meats or vegetables, and an hour later has another 8oz bottle. for supper she eats another half jar of meats/ vegetables and a 1/2 jar of fruit. And then she has another 8oz bottle at bed time. I have started her on regular food tho she loves mashed potatoes and veggies i puree them up a bit cuz im scared she will choke.Also tried kraft dinner, spaghetti, frech fries in little pieces. Slowly shes starting to get used to real food lol thankfully!!

My son just turned 8 months old and he has 4 bottles a day aprox 30 ounces depending on how much solid food he has eaten. Then three times a day before his bottle I feed him a container of solid food mixed with rice or oatmeal cereal. He eats stages 1-3 foods, and I mix the stage 1 food sometimes with stage 2 to make it taste different. The containers I have been buying are the square plastic Gerber food containers. Throughout the day he drinks watered down juice and has some Graduates Grain Puffs. He is gaining weight right on target so I must be doing it right. LOL Hope that helps!

my son has a 8 oz bottle wen he gets up at half six seven oclock then at 10 he has baby cerial then he has a snack at about 12 depends on if he is awake or not then at 2 he has a stage 2 meal and pudding and a yoghart and then about 4 he has another yoghart then at 6 he has a 7 oz bottle and a little bit of cerial then goes to bed and wakes up at about 11 and has a 5 oz bottle then sleeps right threw til the next morning

My son will be 8 months old in a few days. He wakes up at 7am I BF him. He usually eats breakfast at around 8:30am. He has 2tbs of rice or oatmeal and a 1/2 container of fruit, and sometimes yobaby yogurt. He goes down for a nap at 10am and I BF him again. 12:30 lunch, and has 1/2 container of fruit, and 1/2 container of veggie. He goes down for another nap at 1:30-2 and I BF him. He wakes up has some formula in a sippy and a snack of puffs, or yogurt melts. I BF him again at 4:30-5 and then he has dinner. 2tbs of cereal, 1/2 to 1/3 container of fruit, and 1/2 container of veggie. Bath at 6:30 and I BF him again at 7pm before bed. He usually wakes up to nurse 2-3x per night. I still haven't been able to night wean him!! He is very healthy, 90th percentile in weight and height.

My 8 month old daughter eats homemade baby food (so I can't measure it in amount of jars), but she's eating a big bowl of cereal and a couple ounces of fruit for breakfast, 2 ounces of veggies and 2 ounces for fruit for lunch, and 2 ounces of veggies and 2 ounces of fruit for dinner. Sometimes we mix rice/oatmeal cereal in with the fruits or veggies depending on how thin they are (Riley likes a thicker consistency). She drinks 20 - 22 ounces of formula a day, with juice once a day, between 2 and 4 ounces. She's in the 25th percentile in weight and 50th in height, so she's just fine!

i do try and give my daughter what we eat shes not too happy with jar food if we r eating lol if she cant have wat we eat ill give her crackers or a pickle (she LUVS pickles!) while we eat and try and give her jar food a bit later.

my son.who will be 8mos in a few days eats 3meals a day.he is solely breastfed, and he feeds every 4-5hours.he has 5tablespoons of cereal for breakfast.then he BFs before his nap.i dont give him jarred foods anymore (only on days when im not able to make food for him or he cant eat what we, adults are having).he has lunch of mashed/diced veggies.he BFs again before his first afternoon nap.then he has a snack of rice crackers or fruit.i still offer him breastmilk around 4-5pm.then dinner of meat(egg yolks,crushed meatballs)/veggies at 6-630pm.i dont puree the food i make.i just mash them to little pieces which i know he can chew without any problem.then BF again at bedtime around 745-8pm.he feeds 2x during the night.

My daughter just turned 8 months old. She is breastfed and bottlefed from breastmilk. She gets between 18 and 24 oz of breastmilk while I'm at work. And I feed her on demand on my days off. but she also eats 2-4 containers of stage 1 foods at daycare and then about 1 stage 2 jar at home in the evenings. She eats mostly the gerber organic foods and the earths best. I prefer the earths best because as a working mom, it gives me lots of different combinations of fruits and veggies.

My 7 month old daughter eats all natural fruit baby food with baby ceral and an arrowroot biscuit for breakfast... a fruit bar before lunch.. toast, sandwich, chips, or scrambled eggs for lunch, a chocolate and arrowroot biscuit or what ever else i have here before dinner.. veggies we dish up for ourselves, and a little meat depending on the type.. mince normally as she's still a little young to try her on bigger and harder things.. and maybe another arrowroot biscuit or choclate as a treat afterwards.. and it still wanting more lol... that also includes 3 or 4 bottles a day

My daughter gets two 5oz bottles of formula a day and two stage 2, 2oz jars of baby food or baby rice rusks with 2oz of juice with the baby food or rusks as snacks and a 5oz rice cereal and formula bottle before bed.

Liz Mudge, might try a different flavor, if not then it might be the texture, try canned green beans or crackers. Just make sure to watch him closely for a while when he is starting. My son just wants to feed himself so anything he pick up and eat himself he will probably enjoy.

My son eats about every 2 hours, that is 8 oz of formula. That is not including table food. He refuses to eat baby food so we put it in his bottle at night when he goes to sleep so he'll sleep for more than 4 hours at a time. Which that doesn't even help much anymore. He won't eat from a spoon unless it's a big boy spoon and doesn't have any kind of mush on it. He loves beans, green beans, sweet potatoes, hamburger, chicken, almost anything we eat only he wants to feed himself. We are in a very difficult situation especially since we feed him with our fingers or try and give him finger food. I hate giving him crackers and things like that so any ideas would help. He's our hungry boy and is close to out growing his big brother.

my baby has about 4 jars of stage 2 or 3 food and has her cereal withe about 3 200ml bottles and 3 breast a day along with that she snacks out alot during the day. She is not over/under weight. So really i feed my baby when she is hungry.

My daughter wakes up every morning at 6:30am i give her a 5oz bottle. Then for breakfast i give her baby cereal with 2 ts of fruit at 9:30am and a 3 or 4 oz bottle after. For lunch i give her a serving of stage2 veggies then another 3 or 4oz bottle at 12:30. for her Naptime i give her 6 oz bottle at 3:30. Dinner shes eats 1/2 jar of baby food with 1/2 jar of fruit at 6:30. Then for her bedtime at 8 she gets a 7oz bottle.

my daughter is coming up to eight months and i feed her 8 ounces of milk at 7.30, then a bowl of porridge at 10.30, then she will have a whole jar of stage 2 baby food around two and then another 8 ounce bottle about 5... she will then have a bottle of juice to go off to sleep and sleeps right through to the morning. she often snacks on a dry rusk or baby crisps inbertween. so thats 16 ounces 2 meals and some snacks.. is that about right?? x

my son is 8 months, he eats 4 jars of food-2 lunch-2 dinner, plus cereal 1/4 cup in the morning same and as a snack at night plus 24-32 oz of formula. He is in 90th percentile for weight and height. it varies as sometimes he isn't as hungry and eats a little less.

Try and make her baby food. It is way better for her and it tastes good. I made both of my children baby food. It is not hard and does not take very long to do.

my daughter is about 8 mths old she has cereal in the morning with a 5oz bottle,lunch is a stage2 jar of food and another 5oz bottle and then dinner is another stage 2 jar of food a desert and a bottle of juice then she has a 9oz bottle before bed. she snacks on biscuits and rusks in between her meals as well,so my daughter on average has about 19oz of formula milk a day,my health visitor has said to me that as long as she is gaining weight and developing,and i am happy with her then to continue my routine as she will let me know if she wants more

My little girl has porridge for breakfast aswell as milk, then she will have a jar of stage 2 food for dinner and then a jar for tea plus porridge for bed with milk... she normally has 2-3 bottles in between all that so about 28-35ozs of milk, and she is perfectly fine not over weight or underweight... I would listen to what you think.

In a day my son usually has about 26oz of formula, 6-8 T of cereal (oatmeal or rice), and solids I make so I'm not sure, but probably equivalent to 3-5 jars of stage 2. He has breakfast with a bottle at 7:30-8:00, lunch and a bottle at 12, supper and a bottle at 4, and a bottle before he goes to bed at 8.

My son eats about an ounce and half of fruit with oatmeal for breakfast and then has a 6 oz bottle before naptime, after naptime I usually give him a mum-mum or wagon wheel to munch on and before his next nap he has another 6oz bottle, then around 4pm he eats about an ounce and half of veggies with oatmeal, then has a 4-6oz bottle and then right before bed has another 6-7oz bottle.

My daughter has 3 bottles a day. She drinks about 15-17oz a day of formula. She has 2 solid feedings a day which is about half a cup of prepared cereal mixed with about 2oz of jarred baby food. At dinner I give her little bits of potato, pasta, veggies, anything we are eating that she may be able to eat easily.

i tried giving Nate those banana puff stars? he gagged and it looked like he almost choked, i know they melt, but im nervous to try again. he always "chews" on his tounge or toys, so i thought he would be ready for them....he's not into them at all, he wont even pick one up to put in his mouth- which shocked me, bc literally he puts anything he can get his little hands on in his mouth!

i just started giving my son a stage 2 fruit for breakfast, fruit and cereal (3 tbs +2 oz of formula) for lunch, a 6 oz bottle around 3, dinner is a stage 2 veggie + cereal (3 tbs +2 oz of formula) and then 6 oz around 8 , 8:30 before bed time, so....12 oz of formula, 3 stage 2 foods and 6 Tbs of oatmeal or rice cereal + 4 oz of formula mixed in....sometimes the 6 oz bottle btwn lunch and dinner doesnt happen, depending on the times.

My daughter, born July 26th has NO interest in eating jar food. She is breastfed & very healthy, she weighs 18lbs 2oz. Some days I can force her to eat 1-1 1/2 containers of stage 2 foods and other days she refuses to eat anything. I have to distract her with a toy or something when I do finally get her to eat (it takes about 20-25 min to feed her 1 level 2 food). Doctor said all she really needs is breastmilk until she is 1 yr old.

My baby has about 24oz of formula....and he eats alot. 4-5tblsp fruit cereal for breakie, 4-5tbsp rice cereal, 1/3 - 1/2 jar of baby food and 1/3 - 1/2 jar of fruit for lunch....the same for supper, a couple rice cookies and he eats stuff off our plates (mashed potatoe, spinach, peas etc)

my son is about the same. He also has at least one snack. As long as he is getting his formula, it doesn't matter how much other stuff he gets. Enough to keep him satisfied.

That sounds about right. My 7 month old is eating 2-3 stage two baby food jars and about 24 ounces of formula. He also gets some finger snacks in between sometimes. He is not under/over-weight and if I fed him anymore formula/babyfood, he would spit it all up! He already spits up enough. I think you should go by what you think and how your child is reacting. If he's hungry, he will eat, if not, he won't! Pay attention to your baby and you will make the right decisions! Doctors only go by the books, every kid is different!
