Baby Weight Problem.

My daughter is close to five months and can't seem to get her weight up. At birth she weighed 8 pounds and 12 oz. now at 5 months she is only 10pds 11 ozs. I have taken her to doctors and she had to be in the hospital for 4 days. thank God no medical problems. Any suggestions please.

Are you doing cereal yet? If she can hold her head steady and can sit supported then i would start to introduce it to help. Remember to make it really runny adn only start in the morning to make sure there is no allergy then after 3 days start it at night time as well. Is she breast or bottle? If she's breast maybe suplement with bottle once a day for an extra boost. my daughter is almost 5.5 months and has been on cereal for a month and starter food for a few weeks. She does good on both so call your Dr office and ask if it's ok to start them. It should be as starter foods/cereal is for 4m+. After she has had cereal for a few weeks start on the food and start with veggies first:) Was she following her own curve or has she lsot weight since her 2 month apt?

I'm sure she'll do fine:)
