my lil girl really dislikes being bathed. have made sure water/room is right temp, have warm towels handy to dry her and relax try to relax her by play first. any tips to make it better for her? how often do babies need to be bathed?

Thank you for all your responses and tips!! Have got johnsons lavender bath and body lotion now. Will be trying it on bath time tnt, also will make the water a lil warmer ( i like warmer baths/showers too so maybe Alyssa is the same). Really hope we can get around this... will keep u posted on how it goes!

I have the same problem.
Logan does NOT like bathtime.
On only a few occasions has he not screamed.
The only thing I can think is he gets cold....

My baby girl hated bath time for months,I use lavender bath wash and after I use the lavender lotion to massage her and that seems to relax her alot...Also lighting candles so the room is dimly lite and nice relaxing music playing softly in the background so it's nice and calming....All babies are diff so you just have to keep trying different things till you find what works for you and your baby....Good luck!!

M baby didnt like her baths until we used the infant tub in the bathroom tub. Also we had to increase the temp in the house and the temp of the water so that she was more comfortable for her. You can also try to sing songs about anything to keep her relaxed. You can also try the lavander bath wash its made to be a soothing smell to babies.

my girl didn't like her baths until about 12 weeks when i discovered, through experimentation, that she wanted the water pretty hot (just like me!). now she likes it. try different temps. our ped told us once a week is good at this age but i check the neck and other rolls every day. i also wash her hands and face with a warm, damp cloth every day or anytime when she has come into contact with a bunch of people.

My son loves the bath so we bathe him every night before bed, my ped says bathe atleast 3x a week (but take a wash clothe to her neck and face, where milk gets stuck lol) as for bath time my husband and I are always both in there to comfort and play, if you have someone who is always there have them join you in bathing maybe it will comfort her to see both of yall?... maybe this will help, but every baby is dif, so dont be worried! Good Luck
