So I just got an invite to this Circle of Moms website and think I'm really going to like it. "SMILE" Anyway, my son Noah McKay was born on July 16, 2009 and he is just barely kind of scooting around on his belly although he's good at rolling around. His second tooth just came up and when it did he sort of had some changes. He wouldn't eat his baby food (which he's started to do again just fine) but I used to give him a little juice when I wasn't breastfeeding. Mainly I did Apple Prune juice when he got constipated one time, he loved the stuff so I'd give him some every once in a while. Well when his second tooth came in something happened and now he wont even touch juice. This is so odd to me. Any ideas why?

Also I'm just curious on what other babies are doing as far as moving at this age....

l had twin boys July 23. The older one has 5 teeth. He crawls everywhere and he pulls himself to standing at everything he can. He's started opening drawers in the kitchen and on our tv stand.
The younger one (by one minute) has 4 teeth. He crawled first. Last night he stood up at a riding toy and he was walking with it. He does cruise around furniture, slowly. He loves toys that make noise like banging on a metal container with a lid, keyboards, and other talking toys.
Neither baby has seperation anxiety, but then they are always with either me or their dad. The younger one never did like other people, but he's been better about letting others hold him the last few weeks. The older one has always gone to anyone anytime. l do think because they are twins they are a bit different than they each would be if they didn't have the other baby around. They are a lot more content than my 3 yer old was at their age. They play together most of the time. One day they will learn to separate so they get into more mischief.
Breastfeeding didn't work for me but if it did, l wouldn't even try to give them a bottle. The babies can almost drink from a free-flowing sippy cup without dribbling. It's taken a few weeks for them to learn it. l give them each a little formula in it afer they've had baby food. My 3 year old kept his bottle until he was 18 months.

My daughter was born July 16th also. She also is just getting her second tooth. She rolls everywhere and has started the commando crawl on her belly. She has never really gone for juice plus formula is better for them anyway. That's great finding people with the same birthday as my daughter has been hard.

My boy was also born July 16. He has no teeth yet, but is crawling ans standng up against things since 7 months. He started rolling over at 4 months. He even stands on his own for a few seconds at a time the lst few days. My eldest, now almost 3.5 years, also only got his 1st tooth 3 weeks before he turned 1.

My daughter Bianka was born July 5th, She started taking steps at 8 1/2 months and now walks everywhere, I am amazed at how early she's doing this! She still doesn't have any teeth though! Lately she stopped eating as much as she used to, she used to eat a whole jar or baby food at a time and now only eats about half. I'm hoping this is because of a cold that made her lose her appetite. She deffinatly has separation anxiety, I have to make sure she is completely focused on a toy or someone else and slip out of the room without her seeing!

Hi Jennifer. Daniel was born 26 July and he's a bundle of joy for me. He has two teeth (bottom front), crawls really fast now although he never got into rolling. He's started pulling himself up on everything and I need to watch him like a hawk now. You're right about baby-proofing the house now. I found that drawers/bookshelves/cupboards/stairs, etc. are not safe from him anymore. I also found that when he was teething, and with his brother, too, that the sucking action hurts them a lot. That might be why Noah has gone off juice. Try putting some teething gel on all his gums about 5 minutes before you offer him juice or milk. Also, the clingyness is called separation anxiety and it's a normal stage that they're going through. Mine does it too. So, don't worry!

Yeah Noah's been super bad with not touching me lately. Even when we go to my dad and step-moms house he just will cry and cry with tears and everything if I let them hold him even if I'm standing right there. He wont even let me sit him on the floor at times when we're not at home. He just looks at me like MOM GET ME!!!! And reaches for me. So sad. I don't want him to be super needy forever, always needing to cling to me, but at the same time I'm thinking he just needs me. My son isn't pulling himself up at all yet. I guess in time he'll figure everything out. I'm sort of nervous for when he's crawling all over the place. I so need to baby proof everything.

my daughter has two bottom teeth and the top two just poked through recently. she don't really crawl but she scoots alot and she pullls herself on furniture and cruises around. i feed her mostly baby food and formula and rice cakes and pretzels for snacks. and she loves apple juice. she likes tasting whatever is on my plate when i eat. she is so clingy tho. really bad separation anxiety and it can be such a hassle sometimes but she a sweetie
