My daughter has just turned 1. She has only been sick properly twice in that time. But when she is, she is absolutely terrified. i cuddle her and rub her back and talk to her to try and keep her calm but nothing seems to work. Has any one else had similar trouble and what do you do??

Thanks so much for the advice. It is definately worth a try. It is unbearable to see her so worked up. Hopefully she will grow out of it but will definately try the teddy bear dr. surgery .

A friend of my had something similar with her son what helped her was to make a dr.s office for sick stuffed animals. Her son pretended to be the doctor, and she made the voices for the stuffed animals. She made them scared and had her son comfort them and tell them he knew that they didn't feel well now, but everything would be ok. So the next time he got sick, she had him comfort the sick teddy bear, and he was able to handle being sick himself. I hope this helps!
