Day light Savings totally screwed up Camren's (7 1/2 mths old) schedule. I was just wondering what other moms did? Did you adjust your schedule or his (hers)??? His bed time was 6:30pm until 5:30am now hes waking up at 6:30am (still 5am) his time but now i have to put him down later our time @7:30 bc its still 6:30pm his time??

The first day of daylight savings always sucks, but the first day is usually the worst. My son eats every four hours, so 8:30, 12:30, 4:30 and 8:30. so on Sunday, I fed him at 9, 1, 5 and 9, and by the next day, he was back on track. This is my second baby, and believe me, it threw me for a major loop with my first. It's really only as big a deal as you make it. :)

instead of changing his time completely, do it by 10min increments..ie first night of DLS put him down at 7.30pm, next night 7.20, next night 7.10, 7.00, 6.50 etc..until he is down at 6.30. However, if you are happy for his bedtime to be 7.30 and him to wake at 6.30 am, then leave it be. Then when it goes back to normal time you dont have to do the reverse. Here in australia when we started daylight savings I didnt bother changing Liam's bedtime. Its also good as DH gets home late some nights and we can eat dinner as a family. Means I get an extra hour sleep, if he goes to bed an hour later, and 7.30 is still a respectable bedtime for baby. : )
