Had an interesting night my son ate fish sticks and broke out in a rash on his face from where he touched it. I felt so horriable! But atlest it was just a mild reaction. Any other moms of new toddlers have any other bad food storys?

When your son is first exposed to an allergen he may have a small reaction, but as the others have said it can get worse with each dose. Antibodies to a certain subtance take time to develop and the more antibodies you develop, the bigger the allergic reaction.
I would also use caution and not feed any fish to your son until you have had him tested. either this or you can wait for atleast a year and try again with a very small amount of fish. Sometimes allergies can change over time.
If your son ever gets a rash around his mouth and his lips swell, Call an ambulance straight away. Lip swelling is one sign of anaphylaxis. All parents should be aware that if their child does have a bad allergic reaction they need rapid response otherwise they could stop breathing.

one more thing to consider is that there could be something in the breadcrumbs that you child is allergic to (eg. binders, vegetable gums, flavourings, sulphates, preservatives)

Just a word of caution... he may have a severe allergy to fish (more than just a mild reaction). The first time exposure can often just cause mild symptoms, however subsequent contact with fish may cause more than just a mild rash. I'd use caution, just in case. You may even want to consider getting your little one tested when he's a bit older. I don't want to scare you, but it better to be safe than sorry, right?

My son seems to be allergic to pineapple. He loves it, but he has had it twice and broke out in rashes. The first time it was fresh pineapple & he seemed to only break out on his face where the pineapple/juice has touched, so I thought maybe it was just too acidity...so I tried it again but it was like pineapple chunks out of a fruit parfait type thing, & he got small rashes in random spots on his body....I hope he outgrows it, pineapple is the best!

she has also never been allergy tested for either because they didnt cause a life-threatening allergy. I was told to treat it as an allergy and get her tested after she is 2 because a lot of allergies are outgrown around 2yrs old

My daughter is allergic to eggs too. I was when I was a child as well, but her reaction seemed different than mine. I could eat cake, and other things with egg in it, but not an actual egg. Brooke broke out in a rash all over her chest, sides and back, just from eating french toast (rolled in egg of course). I'd have (baby) benadryl on hand, just in case another allergy arises.

My son broke out in a full body rash when I fed him eggs at 11 months old. We are just starting to introduce cows milk so I hope he isnt allergic to that too. I felt horrible too when my son woke from his nap with the body rash, but who knew?!!? U dont know until u try it!! Good luck!!

I agree with the other comment, get your child tested asap. The break outs do get worse to full body hives and possibly stopping breathing.
Allergist just does a painless scratch test on baby's back with many different possible allergens. My child got tested at 9 months- he has allergy to eggs and milk. At 5 years, the milk allergy went away but now it's peanuts and tree nuts as well as egg.
