My Daughter is 6 1/2 months and she has been eating Gerber Oatmeal and she loves it. I want to start adding veggies and fruit to her died and I wanted to save money by using frozen and or canned veggies and fruit. The only concern that I have is that it seems those things may have hire sodium levels then the baby food. So what do you recommend? I do not want her to be unhealthy and I want what is best for her.

we do the same, just buy some fresh sweet potatoes, squash, carrots, bananas etc and puree them. We always use fresh, never frozen.

I agree with Charlene. I boil veggies, mash/puree them and then freeze them in an ice cube tray... then you just need to defrost the amount you need when you need them. That way you know exactly what goes into them!

If you don't want to use baby food, I would suggest using fresh fruits and veggies instead of canned or frozen. That way there is nothing added to them. :)
