My son is 8 1/2 months old and is now refusing to drink any breastmilk from a bottle or cup during the day when I'm working but the days I'm off will nurse all day long?? What should I do? Doctor says I'd fine as ling as he drinks water and he does but I'm cocerned. What should I try next?

I agree with your doctor! My son (now 2 years) did the same thing around 7 months. I didn't work full time so most days I was home to nurse, but the days he was with the sitter he wouldn't take a bottle. Even when he started taking a sippy cup he wouldn't drink breastmilk or milk (at a year). He was always a big boy, in the 110% so my doctor was never worried.

Honestly if he gets hungry enough he will take it. I don't know if you want to do this with breastmilk, but the way we got him to drink milk was by putting chocolate ovaltine in it. Now he drinks white milk fine. We never put as much ovaltine in as the package said, just enough to give it the chocolate flavor.

If you are really worried, you could also try giving him some formula in a bottle. I know you are probably working really hard to pump, but just as an option for while he is at the babysitter.
