Hitting head on crib at bedtime

Does anyone else have a child that hits their head on the crib with they are going to sleep? Ayden will not go to sleep when someone is holding her unless she is sick. She is 9 months old,. and plays a while before passing out, in the mean time she bumbs her head on the crib A LOT!! She stands up, and then slides down and cracks her head. She wakes up with brusies and knots! I have a bumber pad in it, but when they are standing and move as much as she does, it does NO good at all!

I have no info or ideas for you but it's so nice to hear i'm not the only one with a baby that hits his head on PURPOSE! He always does this when he's tired but just started to do it now while playing. Crawling over to the wall and bumping his head. I'll move him and he goes right back! We also have a bumper in the crib and he still manages to hit his head on the bars!

My daughter hits herself over and over on the head, and I mean a good hard smack, when she is trying to fall asleep - Its really unnerving to see, I took her to the doc, they said its just a normal phase, she will eventually grow out of it. She has started to do it less frequently lately so I think this is the case. Im sure your lil one is going to grow out of it as well!
