Just wondering who is planning a special outfit for the baby coming home? I am undecided, and unsure of how to really dress a newborn in late July in the very hot and humid southeastern NC, haha

Is a a nice touch or overkill.....

My mother went crazy buying baby clothes (it's her first grandchild) and happened to buy something that I think would be perfect. It's a short, thin dress with one of those diaper cover thingies. My husband calls me ladybug, so our daughter (Blaise) is going to be our baby ladybug. So, the dress is pink with red polka dots and two pockets in the front that are shaped like lady bugs. I think it's super cute and it should be very comfortable for her and light enough for the summer.

We are having a boy but, I'm bringing him home in a Feltmen Brother's baby blue day gown. It has little trains embroidered on it.

We bought a homecoming outfit, but it's not really anything special. I think I was just anxious to buy something lol and it was cute. We bought an outfit that has a long sleeve top and short sleeve top since we live in WA and I have no idea what the weather is like here in the summer.
