At my son's 6 month check up he was weighing in at 20lbs and 28in long, they say he is a big baby in the 85th-100th percentile. I saw a one year old girl last weekend who was half his size and walking, so I was just curious how other peoples kids are growing.

My daughter was born July 22 and she is 12lbs 3ozs and 24in long. My kids are just tiny, My 2 year old daughter weighs 22lbs and my 8 year old son weighs 43lbs.

My sugar bear (at his 6 month appt at 7 months) weighed 18.8lbs and was 29 1/2 inches long. In the 90th percentile in height and 50th in weight. He just now starting to get a baby gut. He's had chunky cheeks but my favorite is the drumsticks :-)

my little guy is below the 10th percentile and his doctor says he is perfectly healthy. "a nice chunky, not a fat chunky" whatever that means I dont know but as long as baby has a healthy appetite she told me not to worry at all. and at this time they are so much more active than before so they are using that food for energy!

at 7 months Hale weighed 16 lbs 4.5 ounces and 27 inches long. He is almost at the bottom of the weight range but very healthy. He was 6lbs 3oz when born and was exclusivley breastfed until 5 months when we started adding cereal then baby food along with the breastmilk. He wears size 6-9 months with the ocassional 12 month but sizes seem to vary a lot from brand to brand I've discovered. He is just about right for a breastfed baby according to my doctor. I am only 5 feet tall and daddy is 5'10 so I dont think he is going to be very big especially if he takes after me as I've always been smaller than my peers. I love my little man and I wouldnt want him any bigger cuz I have to carry him around! Delivery was easy peasy not a single tear or stitch, good things come in all sizes big or small :D

My daughter at her 6 month check up was 13 lb 9 oz. just about 25 inches. They said she was under the 10th percentile, but they weren't worried, she's just small.

My son is 7 months old and wears 18 months clothes! But he's in the 95th percentile for weight and height. My dr is happy he's chubby and eating so well. Again, as long as your dr isn't worried then you shouldn't worry!

my son was born july 12/09...he is at the top of the scale and my dr is not concerned at all...my son eats 3 meals a day with 3-4 bottles and is not over weight by any means! his last check up..he was 18.6lbs and 28" long. I have a few friends where their kids are the close to my son's height and weight and we laugh....if my dr is not concerned than neither am I :)

Jayden weighed 20 lbs 11.5 oz and 27 inches long! He was 8 lbs 14 oz when he was born! Little booger is already wearing some 12 month clothes!

My son is a little over 7 months and is 25lbs and 29 inches. And I know 2 yr olds who weigh less. As long your baby is healthy and growing I wouldn't worry!

My daughter was only 5'13 and 18inches when she was born at her 6 month check up she was 14'9 and 25inches. She is a smaller baby but totally healthy. Cutting her 5th tooth already too!

My son is HUGE!! He is 7 months and weighs around 26 pounds and is 29 inches long. He was big to begin with though, at 10 1/2 pounds and 23 inches when he was born.

My son is 7 months and weighed 16 lbs. 3 ozs. and was 25 1/2 in at his 6 month checkup. At 7 months he now weighs 17 lbs and is about 26 in. My husband and i are both short so he has no chance at being tall i don't think, lol.

I know what it is like to have a small baby. The thing that they recommend is offer cereal in the morning and at night. Also make sure to offer iron fortified foods such as meat and alternatives. Babies grow at different paces. Has she ever been tested for acid reflex, that is what my dughter got diagnosed. She takes a pill at supper and it keeps her from vomitting now. Just a suggestion.

Josie got weighed at 6 months and she only weighed 13lbs 6 ounces. Health nurse checked her weight yesterday and now she weighs15lbs 6 ounces. Doing much better since starting solids. All babies grow at different stages. I worried about her weight cause she weighed 9lbs 10oz when born. It was scary but now I know she's taking her time growing

My son has just turned 7 months and weighs just over 11kgs so around 24-25lbs. Hes in size 1 (australian size) hes a big boy and was only 7lbs when he was born:)

My daughter is 7 months and weighs 14 lbs and is 26 inches long. Shes only in the 25th percentile for weight which concerns me but the doc says its not a problem? Any ideas how to get her to gain some weight? She eats all the time so I have no clue why shes so small!

Don't worry my son at 6 months was 20lbs too. they will lose it once they start walkin. The doctor said they double there birth weight by 6 months. My son tripled his. I think its the milk LOL

My son was born July 24th, and was 14 pounds 26 inches at his 6 month check up. Per our scale at home, he is now 15 pounds at 7 months. He is a little on the smaller side (about 5th percentile) and has been since 4 months, but happy and healthy!

My daughter weighed 20lbs 3oz and was 28 1/2 inches long at her 6 month check up they said she was in the 96th percentile on her weight and 94th percentile on her height but she is healthy and beautiful!!!!

For my sons 6 month appt he weighed 18lbs 4oz. He was in the 63th percentile. The Pediatrician said he was doing fine and didn't have any concerns. He loves to eat and is healthy. He weighed 6lbs 8oz at birth. Sometimes girls are just smaller in nature and don't weigh as much. No need to worry, once he starts moving he will burn those calories up!

My son is seven months and in the 90th percentile! He was 9.5 lbs when he was born and is just getting bigger but there's nothing wrong with that. He's tall and slinder not chunky. He wore size 3 diapers by 3 months and size 3 shoes @ 6 months. All babies grow at their own pace. Some people think my son's already a year when they see him or ask why he dosent walk yet because he's so big but when I tell them he's only 7 months they just look at me weird.

My baby boy is in the 97th percentile...His daddy didn't even fit on the charts when he was a child. Lincoln (my son) weighted 22lbs at 6 mths.

My son is almost the same as yours! He's a BIG boy too! He was almost 10 lbs at birth. My doc says as long as he is proportional.....he's in the 90th percentile for height AND weight. Think they would be concerned if say he was in the 100th percentile for weight and the 10th percentile for height.

I have a son that is 6 months weighing 21 pounds and 29 inches and a 2 and half year old weighing 25 pounds and is 33 inches- so I have one big boy and a little guy. As long as they are healthy and happy. I was hung up on percentiles since I have one over 100 and one in the 3rd it was concerning, but my pediatricion told me to ignore the precentiles which I do now!

My daughter was 15lbs3oz and 25 1/2 inches long at 6 months. She is small but mighty, she crawling well and pulling herself up to stand. Doctor are watching her growth but I don't measure 5ft. Every baby is different!

My daughter has a heart condition so she is a little on the tiny side. Right now at 6 1/2 months she weighs 8 lbs., 8 oz. and is 22 inches long.
