how many teeth do your ten month olds have???

As with all child development, tooth development can vary drastically as well. Some babies even have teeth when they are born and some may not get their first tooth until they are one or older. My identical twins have almost 5 teeth, got their first tooth at 6 months old, their 2nd tooth a few weeks later, now at 10 months they just got their 3rd, and their 4th and 5th are just coming through now. Apparently the older, the better when it comes to teething- because the older your child is, the better they will handle the pain. Lucky ;)

my daughters going on 11 months and she's had her two bottom teeth since about 6 or 7mnths, she's just now starting to cut her two top teeth. She doesn't get to fussy even tho she's teething.. it's not all that bad. But then again all babies are different :)

My doctor and dentist said they can be better off getting teeth later because then there is that much less time that you have to worry about brushing and cavities. My son has 2 teeth at 11 months. I am not worried. My daughter is almost 4 now with a full mouth of teeth but did not get anymore then 2 until she was about 13 months. No worries!!

Hey! My son just turned 11 months and has 8 teeth already...They were hell coming in! It's not strange that your little one doesn't have any yet. Keep in mind, the later they come in, the better the teeth are :) From what I was told!

It is normal, but they can sometimes be teething for a while before they cut
My first daughter was teething from 6 weeks and cut her first 2 teeth together at 6 months and my youngest was teething from 4 weeks but didnt get her first tooth til she was 9 months and she currently has 4 teeth with 4 more on the way

My ten month old has a total of 8 teeth. Her eye teeth are trying to come in. I thought she was a little fast however the pediatrician said that children will get them when they get them. I know that teething deals with genetics. I wouldn't worry, they will come all in due time.

My 10 month old only has 2 teeth. I also thought it was strange since my older boys had a mouth full by now. One of my kids started getting teeth at 3 months old, yeah, I know! My daughter was 8 months before getting her first. With or without teeth, she can still put away the food. They'll come when ready :)

Thank you everyone for your advice. I was just curious because she has been showing symptoms of cutting teeth since 6 months old but they just havent came in yet... the dr seemed a little suprised at her 9 month check up, but i guess we just wait it out :)

My 10-month-old daughter has just popped her third tooth. One of my friend's daughter didn't start growing teeth until around this age. It's not unusual, don't worry, just make sure you've got some infant paracetamol in the cupboard for when they do start emerging! :-)

Could be she taking her time. Mine has 4 below and two up.
My older kids had teeth at about 6 months. I think you should see a peadiatrician, but has she shown any signs of teething? Drooling, constantly grinding her gums e.t.c.

I have read studies that say it is better for the baby to develop and produce teeth later. I got worried because my son got his first tooth at 5 months. He has 6 already, and it's odd because my husband and I didn't get teeth until past our 1st birthday. My niece only has 2 and she's the same age.

It isn't unusual! Teeth come when they are ready. My nearly 11 month old son has 8, and they have all been hell. His molars are now moving getting ready to come through and we are suffering again - put off the teething for as long as you can!
