My daughter will be 8 months old on Monday and she doesn't have any teeth yet. I was talking to my mom about it and she said that both my sister and I were over a year old and walking before we had any teeth. My husband's mom can't remember how old he was when he got his first tooth.

I've heard it's better as their teeth are stronger. I'm not entirely certain why, though.

Why is better to have teeth come in later? I thought that the older they are the harder it is because they have more of an understanding of what is going on. Regardless, teething is awful. Poor babies.

My twin gals are almost 8 months and neither have any teeth. I can see the outline of them in their gums but none are poking through,

My son has 4 teeth, and it looks like he's going to get one more on the bottom.
