my baby girl is 2 months 1 week + she is on 6-7oz bottles every 3 hrs. she weighs about 11 lbs.

My daughter is 2 mo old and is eating 4oz every 4 hrs and last bottle at night getting 1 spoon of rice cereal in it. Her dr recommended us start her on cereal

My son Adrian eats 5-9 ounces and usually sleeps about 5 hours at a time...he is now 2 months and 6 days and weighs 14lbs!...he's in the 95 percentile...such a cute chunky baby though :)

my little boy just turned 2mths on 9/26 and he is drinking 5oz every 2-3 hours OR whenever he gives the "hunger cry" lol. i dont make him wait if he is hungry. he has an upcoming dr's appt this week and i would say he weighs abou 12 1/2lbs.

3.5 oz is a snack.. 5 oz or more is usually the amount my baby needs to last a few hours, he's 10 weeks old.. He can drink almost a full big bottle on days like grocery shopping, but usually only gets through 1 small bottle.. It varies depending on if they are going through a growth spert, which is often..

My son is 2 months old and he is eating 6 ounces every 2 hours or so. He doesnt wake up at night for at least 6-7 hours... I had a big baby, he was 9 pounds at birth and he is about 14 or so now... I was just told to feed him when he wants it and he will gain the weight like he is supposed to.

My Daughter is 9 weeks and has 7oz bottles but her birth weight was 10lb 7oz at birth she had to have 3oz bottles every hours and this had to be up a couple of days after birth, it totally depends on birth weight and weight and if they keep a steedy increase in weight inline with your chart, all the time they are putting on weight then I think thats fine

my little boy, was 7lb 4 on birth, he is now at 7 weeks 11lb 5half, straight from hospital he was taking 5oz feeds, now he is on 7oz sometimes every two hours, but he sleeps through the night for at east 6 hours, today in 2 hours he had 10oz, so think its always different, defo bring it up and they will put your mind at ease or raise any cncerns, but i think she is fine!

my little boy is going to 1 months on sunday... I mostly nurse him during the morning and day but in the evening his daddy likes to feed him a bottle... he drinks around 3-4 ounces then and is around the same weight as your daughter (born 6lbs 3oz) My mother seems to think he should eat more from a bottle but he is happy and making lotsa diapers so I think this is fine :) I don't know if that helps but there ya go

Sounds like our son. He is 6 weeks yesterday. Was at the doctor and he is 11lbs 1.5oz. He eats anywhere from 3-4oz every 3-3.5-4 hours. Sometimes he does 2oz (we call it the top off after he has been playing) and he has done a few 5ozers. He tells us when he is done, otherwise, yes, there is all that spit up and then what really does go down - nothing! lol

My daughter is 8weeks 4 days today and I exclusivly breastfeed her...so not sure exactly how much she is drinking but drinks every 2-3hrs during the day and sleeps from 7pm - 6.30am during the night (BLISS!!) she always gets thats milk drunk look after a feed too so im guessing she is. She was born 8lb 6 o and at 8w 4d weighs 11lb 10o so is putting on good weight!!

My youngest is 9 weeks old (2months) she is just about coping with 3-5oz but she I have to say is violently sick 2 hours after a feed and I ain't got a clue why? My health visitor says its to do with her colic but I've been through the colic stage before with my first and she wasn't this sicky let alone violently sick and yes they can be sicky with colic but it's just like a possit, my doctor is also rubbish he said change formulas and put up with it, I've tried that been through every brand of formula going but no no change at all she's still violently sick, what good is going to the doctor about things that are important and could actually be making her lose weight then I'm stumped. I know you only asked if 4oz was normal but I fancied ranting lol I'm not really sure what to do with her being like this, not one of the health profs are very helpful except my partners sisters friend who's a nurse, she told me to keep a diary for a week or 2 of how much milk and when she's fed also when she starts being violently sick afterwards then make an appointment with the doctor and show it to him, not sure if he'll do anything about it then as this nurse thinks she might have an allergy to milk (like me) but it's worth a try, I'll try anything once if it means I might actually get an answer!!!!!!!!!

So glad you started this post. My son will be 8 weeks on Monday and he's eating 3.5 to 4 oz every 3-4 hours. I keep thinking he isn't eating enough!!! But he is eating about 20-25 oz a day, so based on everything I keep reading, he's on track. It seems weight gain is the best way to tell for sure.

my little girl is 7wks and she eats 4oz of formula every 3-4.5 hours...at her 1st check-up she weighed 8lbs 13oz...she probable weighs almost 10lbs now...and a good way 2 tell if your baby has gotten enough 2 eat is:burp her after 3oz and she has 2 more ounces 2 go and doesn't take the bottle ( turns her head, won't open her mouth, or she takes the nipple but pushes it back out then she's probably full)

my son is 8 week and he will eat about 5 oz every 3 or 4 hours. before he goes to bed though he eats 6 or 7 and he will sleep aproximatly 6 and a half to 7 and a half hours and will get up and eat between 6 and 7 ozs and will get up again after 4 hours and eat another 4 or 5 oz. my bf (the father) thinks that he eats waay to much because when he has him during the day while im at school he only eats 4 oz. i talked to my nurse and she says that hes completely normal. babies eat what they need. they know more about themselves than we think. if your baby only wants 3 oz every now and then thats completly normal. you dont always eat the same amount of food all the time. sometimes they just arnt all that hungry.

My son is 7 weeks, and he eats about every 4 hours (his schedule, not mine) and takes in anywhere from 4-6oz. (I know that sounds like a lot, but he's in the 75th percentile for both height and weight...)It sounds like your daughter is probably getting enough to eat. My pediatrician said that babies, unlike adults, only eat when they're hungry and stop when they're full.

I wonder the same thing. My little girl is 5 weeks old today. She eats anywhere from 4 to 5 ounces at a time. Sometimes she'll go 2 1/2 hours and other times she'll go 4 hours. Just seems like a lot of formula for a baby to eat

I daughter will be 8 weeks on Saturday. She eats whenever she wants. But she eats a total of approximately 25 ounces a day. I let her eat until she is done. It can be either 0.5 oz to 3 oz each time.

this is all really helpful...she is definitely gaining weight so i'm not concerned with that and i do notice the same thing....if i try to get her to eat more she does spit it up....i just always worry because like i said sometimes she will eat 4 or maybe even 4.5 ozs and then the next feeding only eats like 3 and she definitely has plenty of wet diapers!!!!

I think it sounds okay, it seems that as long as they are gaining weight then you shouldn't focus on amounts so much. I am b/f and my son (3 days older than your daughter) and he eats every 3-4 hours, probably more like an equivalent of 3-6 oz each time. When I've fed him more frequently or tried to keep him eating after he was probably done he usually spits it up!

I think that's very normal. My little boy takes around 4 ounces every 4(ish) hours. But sometimes he leaves around an ounce. he weighs 9lb 1oz and is 6 weeks old. I'm hopefully going to up his feed to 5 ounces, as he tends to want feeding a bit sooner than usual these past few days!

I think it is very normal. As long as she is gaining at least 6oz a week in weight then she should be right on track. My son eats every 2-3 hours and I'm guessing he is eating anywhere between 3-5oz as well. My nurse at my Mommy and Me class always says watch the weight gain instead of how much they are eating each meal because sometimes they just like to snack just like us. My son is going on his 9th week and he is already 11lbs 2oz! So it sounds to me she is right on track.
