How often do you give a bath?

the more often you bath him in the tub or take him in the shower he will get used to it and may even start to enjoy himself! its super dry in my house so we tend to bath Eila every 3 days or so, i dont want to wash away the natural oils of her soft lil baby skin too often. we lotion with Aveeno after every bath too!

I have always just laid my son on his back in our bathtub. I found the baby baths are useless and anything that requires the baby to lay in an upright position doesn't work either because they just get too cold. Just lay the baby on their back in the tub and use a towel underneath if you want.

My daughter hated bath time too until I bought a "sponge" for her. I got it from Target for around $5. It's a baby shaped sponge so I can lay her on it in the tub. Since I got that, she loves bath time. She talkes, laughs and splashes the whole time.

yes, thats fine. babies at 4 months don't need too many baths and don't get dirty all too often...it's not like they're rolling around in dirt =]
have you tried bathing with your baby to get him used to the water? my aunt's little boy hated bath time so she put just a little pool of water in her bath tub and got in there with him. it worked =]

Our boy who turned 4 months on 9th Nov, hated baths when we used a wash cloth with him lying on a towel. We started putting him in a baby bath attached to the kitchen sink about a month ago. He was unsure at first, but we made sure to encourage him, massage his body with the soapy water and coo and smile at him. He went from not happy, to only not happy when we washed his hair, to now loving his bath times, he splashes about and squeals with delight. We give him a bath every night around 9pm, as part of his nightim routine, just using Johnsons bedtime soap in the water to make bubbles, and Wednesday and Sunday nights he gets a full wash. I'm not sure what you do when bathing your boy, but our boy was never happy until using one of the baby baths. Bath time should be fun and a time for you to bond with your baby. Encourage as much as you can, soothing tones and try moving his legs around in the water.
