How to go about Potty Training my 2 year old son

My son just turned 2 July 1st. How young is to yo ung....how do you go about doing it.....and how????????? He tells me when he poops...which usually means he is needing to just has not happened yet...and he does not say anythig about peeing. He will sit on the toilet and play with his little potty chair...just needing some help and advice to get started!!!
