Ah! I'm so upset, we planned everything so well and its all a mess.

We're self employed, so we signed up for a low rate insurance with a maternity deductible of 5000. Had no idea they were going to increase it by 1500 in 3 months time. Ephers. I hate insurance. That's an outrageous jump.

We have supplimental insurance that pays us for each day spent in the emergency room, so I'll get a minimum of 5500 after the birth. So we figured we were covered pretty well. But my Dr refuses to do universal billing and says I must pay it in monthly instalments myself each visit. $800 a month is such an unrealistic expectation. I thought we could pay it all at the end when we got our money! UGH.

So I cried and had to cancel my appointment and find another Dr. Thing is, she was the only one with good ratings close to my home. I'm now going to be going to a Midwife because I heard from a couple people she was good, but I have NO idea what to expect from a midwife.

I'm so sorry! I hope you like your midwife. My friends experience with her midwife was better than the doctor she was using. Who  know this may work out perfectly for you! :)
