I am breastfeeding and pumping, although not exclusively, I still supplement with formula sometimes, but I have been experiencing a hearty appetite and have put on a few pounds because of it. I have already lost 95% of my baby weight (she's 4 months) so putting on weight is not something I am used to. Anyone else experience this?

yes like everyone says is true. One of the things doctor do tell u about n if they havent they should it is very important to drink as much fluids as possible. ur body do get dehydrated from all the breastmilk that u r producing and the increase in apetite by drinking fluids can help with that a little. I drink protain shakes and alot of water to help with the fluids. Also if u dont like to much water u can try 100 percent juice they provide vitmains n will be good for u and ur baby.

yes app very normal they say breast feeding uses quite a lot of energy and this is why we feel hungry all the time. I'm just trying to have small healthy snacks or a glass of water when I feel like eating.

I read that to make milk your body uses around 5oo calories/day, so it's normal to be hungry. I am also thirsty ALL the time, I was told that's normal too.

Yes it is normal to eat more when you brestfeed but if you are not brestfeeding all the time than some of the extra food you eat will make you gain weight thats why i am brestfeed my daughter and thats all she gets i dont supplement
