my baby is the same way. she was put on baby cereal since she was about a week old. she also suffers from acid reflux so she is on medicine too. the only thing i can suggest is talk to your pediatrician, and try putting her a scoop or two of cereal in each bottle. I have to burp my daughter at least three times during a bottle, and sit her up for 40 minutes in case you want to try that.

My daughter used to spit up alot and i went ot the doctors hoping to get something but since she was gaining weight and not in pain he didn't really want to look into yet so I asked around.
I was breast feeding and switched to formula which helped reduce the amount but have recently added a thickener to it - you can get from some supermarkets but most chemists. If your breast feeding you can add it to a little breast milk prior to the feed (wish I had found that before I stopped breast feeding)...hope that helps

when adam was born he had acid reflux really bad. he would wake up in the middle of the night screaming because his milk was coming out his nose and mouth and he couldnt breath.i had to give him meds and the drs told me to elevate his head when he went to bed by putting a pillow under the one side of his matress. keeping his head above his stomich will help to keep the food down. oh and a good burp allways helps to

Hi my son is 4 months old now but used to spit up a lot from day 7. He had GER. Now his acid reflux has improved and is doing a lot better. But no matter what medication you give this is very common and natural for babies to spit up. When they are born their digestive system is not developed and as they grow old it does gets better. Please ensure the following : -

1) Between changing breasts, please burp your baby and always burp him/her after feeds. You can try three different positions for burping..on your shoulder, lay her on her tummy and make her in a sitting position and pat her back. Any of them will surely work ( my baby never used to burp and i had to do all these to make him comfortable)
2) Do not overfeed the baby i.e understand her cues and cries. Babies don't feel hungry everytime (Please read the book by Tracy Hogg "Secrets of the baby whisperer", love ly book)
3) Ensure that your baby is not projectile vomitting i.e large qty at a time. Check the color of the same. Any yellow, red or green color should be immediately brought to the notice of the doc.
4) Ensure that she's kept at a 45 deg angle after every feed for 20 - 30 mins (I know its a it difficult to do this at night, but we have no choice :-( I did this for 3 months in a row).

Hope this info helps...

my daughter spit up alot when she burped and the drs told me she has acid reflux which alot of babies get. she is now on medicine for it and she seems to be doing alot better. i dont know whemn your baby spits up but if its with a burp then its worth a try on meds from the doc.

it could be she isn't ready for the amount you are feeding her...you might try an oz or so less and see what happens. i agree to keep her upright for a little while after feeding...also try burping her before a feeding (sometimes gas gets trapped between feedings).

how much is she eating? It could be that she's eating too much or two fast

Try burping her a few times throughout her feeding. Also, try to keep her upright for about 20 minutes after she eats.
