How many times have you tried giving him each fruit? It can take 10 tries to get used to a new flavour/texture and figure out that it's edible :)
My daughter loves to use her food as a toy, I give her a whole peach and she loves getting her fingers into it, squishing it, tearing bits off and waving them round... and then eating all the bits and sucking the juice out. I think if you just let them get familiar with food without too much pressure to eat it, they tend to reject stuff less. But I've only got one, so maybe this is just her! Good luck!

My wee boy won't eat fruit either but I get sneaky and mix it into his cereal and that seems to work well. I have also mashed up fruit like peaches, apricots, strawberries etc and frozen them into ice blocks. I put a wee ice block stick in them so he can hold it easily. These are a favorite for both my kids on a nice warm day :-)

My boy just turned one at the end of July and he's the same way. He wont eat ANY fresh fruits at all. He LOVES veggies, even beets...lol...and who likes those??? I've tried every fruit that I can buy at my local grocery store and when they go in his mouth, he'll chew once, maybe twice and right back out it comes :( He's evem to the point that he doesn't want to eat baby food fruit either! I figure he's got to get fruit somehow so I have been giving him those Gerber yogerts and also mixing the baby food fruit w/ his cereal in the a.m.

Be really careful with babies and fruits. Alot of the time they know what they should and shouldn't eat instinctively. My son refused all fruits except strawberries and bananas. Come to find out now that has an intolerance to everything except those two. Not an outright allergy, but just below that. Babies sometimes just know these things. If your little one refuses a fruit after you trying over and over, don't worry too much til they can tell you why.

My son BJ won't eat any fruit as well. He will eat some vegetables if they are cooked in a chicken broth or vegetable soup. The only thing he eats is applesauce. I talked to his pediatrician about my concern. He suggested I continue to feed him baby food fruit stage 3. It's kind of weird because my son doesn't like any baby food but the fruit and he loves the baby food fruit or applesauce with oatmeal. Otherwise no matter how small me and my husband try to smash the fruit, he won't eat it. The other trick my grandmother tried with our son is fixing real fruit smoothies with no sugar just the fruit and apple juice. My son will drink some of that.

I've got that problem too, my baby don't even eat mash banana. What i do now i'll cook apple mix with veggie soup for him and surprisingly he eat the cooked apple! The veggie that i put are potato, carrot, and celery, my baby love this fruit & veggie soup, and now he eat apple indirectly. Hopefully he will eat the fresh apple one day.

Just keep trying it. Some babies are picky eaters, especially if their mothers were picky eaters while they were pregnant (I'm not saying you were, I'm just mentioning it). If he eats solids (pieces of bread, baby crackers, tofu, etc.) try pureeing fruit and spreading a bit of it on the pieces of finger foods he eats. My daughter ate quite a few things this way when she was first experiencing finger foods and didn't want to eat any other way. :) She's now over a year old and only has two teeth, so we still have a hard time feeding her, since she can't chew. So pureed veggies and fruit on pieces of toast or crackers or something might do the trick! Mixing it with oatmeal is also a good idea. Just don't give up - one day he might surprise you and eat an entire kiwi or something. Lol!

Have you tried putting it in yogurt? This can cover the texture which is what they don't like. You can even freeze it into a freezer pop.

The only way I can get our son to eat fruit (other than banana or strawberry) is pureed and added to his oatmeal. Seen as he's always LOVED his oatmeal, I tried blitzing different fruits, one day melon, the next mango etc, and adding a little to his oatmeal, every day adding more and more. So far, he hasn't refused anything. If your child eats oatmeal, or pancakes, or french toast etc, try adding a little fruit to the mixture, you may find they don't notice, or don't mind, the new added flavour, and over time, hopefully you (and I) will have better luck getting them eat fruit straight. For the time being, I figure my son is getting all the goodness he needs, even if it is disguised. Good luck.

My son too...won't eat veg either. I still give him pre packaged baby purée fruit though as I figure it has to be better than nothing.
