My daughter just turned 5mths and has not rolled over. I am not too concerned, I am more curious as to when everyone else has started rolling over?

Oh I'm so glad to see that there are other babies out there who haven't rolled over yet either. My son is 5 1/2 months old and has only rolled from his tummy to his back twice and thats it! He just gets to his sides also. I thought I was hindering him because I didn't make him do tummy time as often as I should have. He just hates it so much and I don't like to just let him cry. He does sit up pretty well with a little assistance so I'm thinking maybe he can just skip the rolling over step, hahaha

my daughter hasn´t rolled over yet either, she can roll from side to side but thats it, I´m not at all worried about her because she will do it in her own time, and once they start rolling crawling etc... then the hard work begins!!!!

Joey has been rolling over since he was 4 mths, he is now 5 1/2 months. He is in daycare and I know they work with the babies there a lot. I only get nervous when he is in his crib and rolls, he has been doing that a lot during the night and ends up waking himself up. He can actually sit on his own as well. Today he rolled over on his tummy got ticked off and tried to kick to crawl and farted.... it's soo funny to watch him. He is my own personal laugh stick.

My son just turned 5 months and refuses to roll over. I put him on the floor and he went in a 360 degree circle but wouldn't go any further than to his side. He does sit up though. Go figure.

My son is 5 months now. He started rolling over around 3 1/2 months but can only roll over from his stomach to his back not the other way around but he has been sitting up unsupported since 3 1/2 months also. I tried to give him tummy time but I also rolled him over often to show him how it could be done.

My baby started rolling over at 5 months and he's going on 6 months. Just give her time and the opportunity to practice.

My son was 5 months on the 23rd and is not rolling either way yet. Every now and then if he is lying on a slope (like the edge of a mat underneath him) it will be enough for him to roll but he can't do it himself. I'm glad there are others out there who still aren't moving! He just doesn't seem interested and gets upset after too long on his belly. Though he is starting to draw his legs up underneath him when he is on his belly so who knows, maybe crawling will come first!!

My five months old has not rolled over yet... however, she does move herself around in her crib and walks in her walker all over the house. She has also discovered her feet and legs.... what about yours?

My son, Jadyn, started rolling over right before he turned 4 months. Been scooting backwards for a couple weeks now and just figured out that he can spin around on the floor. He really enjoys tummy time now that he is getting the hang of how to move himself around.

Temperance tryed to roll over at about 3/1/2 months a couple of times and succeded but since then cant be bothered. she gets upset when she has had enough tummy time but wont even atempt to make a move. my son woke me up at about 3 am when he was 4/1/2 months rolling from tummy to back and doing the whole curcut of the cot . the difference is so different. she is still trying to sit up but the mucels are still too weak. i'm just putting it down to just lazy or wants to perfect it before showing us, as i have been told by someone that she may be doing it in her bed room before she sleep or after she wakes up and before she get me up.

my daughter has been rolling over since about 4 months old. She also has 2 older sisters and thinks she needs to keep up with them. She will be 6 months on Jan 8th. She is starting to sit up on her own. She is still a little wobbly. She has loved tummy time since about 4 moths old. She won't stay on her back.

I was getting alittle concerned that my daughter only rolls to her side and she is almost 6 months old but it sounds like I am not alone. She really doesn't like tummy time so it is constant battle to get her to do it everyday. She can roll from her belly to her back but not her back to her belly yet! We will keep trying.

My son rolled from is tummy to his back when he was 3 1/2 months old. He only did it a few times... now he is five and 1/2 months old an rolls from his tummy to his back more often, but he hates tummy time. He rolls from side to side when he is on his back but he has not rolled all the way over that way yet. He hates being on his tummy so I don't think he will roll over on to his tummy unitl he learns to crawl. I think he will wait unitl he has a good reason to be on his tummy lol. My doctor told me that it is normal for many babies to not roll unitl 6 months.

my son has been able to roll over both ways since he was about 3 months but he doesn't do it very often...if he is trying to reach a toy and rolling helps then he will do it, or if i clap and make it a big deal he will continue to do it lol. i know i should give him more tummy time but he doesn't enjoy it for long periods of time. He can sit up completely by himself now though and when music is on he has enough balance to rock back and forth! He turns 6 months on jan 14, i cant wait until he can crawl. He now does this inch worm like scoot but hasn't yet figured out how to get on all fours. :)

My son is 5 months 1 week, he hasn't rolled over. In fact when I put him on his tummy he just plays or sleeps. He has never minded being on his tummy and doesn't seem in a hurry to get off it. While on his back he plays with toys above him or just kicks his legs and chews on hands.

[deleted account]

My daughter started front to back at 12 weeks, just a few times/week for about a month. At her 4 month well check she rolled back to front and hasn't stopped rolling since! She's tiny though and I read that smaller babies tend to roll earlier as they have less weight to push over.

My little boy was 5 months on 26/12 and rolls from side to side but can't turn onto his tummy yet. He's rolled from side to side since the very early weeks (I guess it's an instinctive thing to get nearer to the milk when he's lying next to me!). They are all so different, my little girl didn't roll for ages!

My daughter started rolling from back to tummy @ about 4 months old, and can roll from tummy to back if she really wants to. But she hasn't really mastered it, and is more interested in trying to lift up on all fours. She can sit unassisted, and pull herself up to sitting. I wonder if the infrequent rolling is because I didn't give her a lot of tummy time very early on? Even now, she'll play on her tummy but only for a short while. When she's learning how to do something new, she'll cry and scream, which is very hard to watch. But I know I can't pick her up right away. Just breaks my heart! She turned 5 months old on Christmas Eve.
