I know this gets asked all the time on here buttttt.. What is your schedule throughout the day including naps and meals?? Just Curious because i am thinking about adjustng mine!?

Here is my current schedule:

he wakes around 5am

i try to hold him off until 6 to feed him his 7oz bottle

usually about 1 hr 1/2 later ill give him solid breakfast with water

then he goes down for his nap about 3 1/2 hrs from when he woke up (ex. if he woke up at 5am he i will put him down at 8:30am)

when he wakes usually 1hr 1/2 to 2 hrs later i give him another 7oz bottle

about 1 hr 1/2 later ill feed him solid lunch with water

then i do the afternoon nap the same way 3 1/2 hrs after he woke from morning nap (he has been fighting me lately though)

then 7 oz bottle

1 hr 1/2 later solid dinner with water

around 6pm bottle and bed

Heres the deal i went on a Vacation and now his schedule is all screwed up he used to always take 2 naps and go to bed at 7:30pm and wake around 5:30-6am now he is only taking one nap and going to bed at 6pm and waking up between 4:45 and 5:00. So0o0 I think i should go back to his bed time being 7:30 the only prob is that if he doesnt take his 2nd nap he is done by 6...hopefully if i get him back to going to bed at 7:30 he will start taking his 2nd again :)

Again, so amazed at others schedules! Our, um, 'schedule' is
Around 7-8am, have boob then wake up (yes in that order). Nappy change then play with Daddy in bed - pull his chest hairs and grab his nose until he wakes up (better than an alarm clock which my partner usually ignores). We get up, play around, at some point, usually before 9.30am but not always, breakfast of fruit and/or toast and/or porridge.

The rest of the day it depends on what we have planned. If we're going to meet someone at 10am for an hour then nap is after that. If we're meeting someone at lunchtime then nap is before that. If we get somewhere and he's tired he sleeps on my back. If he's tired early like Monday at 9.30am he goes to sleep then. He usually has either 2 short or 1 long naps a day. Boob before and after he wakes up and often several times in between. Lunch at some point. Dinner at some point before bed.

Bed is usually around 7.30pm but may be later or earlier depending on how tired he is. We have a fairly set routine before bed of bath, story, say goodnight to the cats and to Daddy, boob, sleep. That one only changes if we are out in the evening - yes we still go to music gigs and things. If we're out he'll go to sleep in a carrier, then in the car, then back to bed.

So there you go, the schedule of a non-scheduler.

Here's Max’s Routine - he's 10 months old... Hope it helps!

• He usually drinks about 200mls of milk during the night at about 4am. We try to get him back to sleep if he wakes before that. Ideally he woudln't wake at all during the night - but we've tried everything!
• When we do go to him at night we try not to pick him up. Just tell him that it is still sleep time.
• When we give him milk we try to give it in his cot without picking him up and with the minimum of talking

7am
• If he wakes before 7am it is essential that we try to do everything we can to get him back to sleep
• Max is awake, dressed, nappy changed and feeding no later or earlier than 7am unless he has been awake during the night and then he can sleep until 7:30am if he wants to
• At 7:30am he has his porridge (half a bowl full mixed with milk and half a small jar of fruit) and is offered 75mls of milk
• After breakfast play games and get him to crawl and walk as much as possible, play games with him, do pointing and naming objects.

9:15am
• Max has 100mls of milk
• Max goes to sleep in his cot with the blinds down and the door shut
• He sleeps no longer than 45 minutes and mustn’t go to sleep later than 9:30am

10am
• Max is awake now, regardless of how long he has slept
• Change his nappy if it hasn’t been changed since he woke up
• Encourage him to have another really good play – lots of crawling and walking and talking to him using proper words, pointing and naming objects
• Offer him some juice and a snack

12 to 12:30pm
• Max has his lunch (large bowl of savoury protein food and fruit)
• He has a chicken nugget, fish finger or sausage to also eat himself
• Offer juice throughout the meal

1:00pm
• Change his nappy, close the blinds and offer him 100mls of milk
• Max goes to sleep in his cot with the door shut (we try to get him to go to sleep without rocking or soothing him – just give him his blanket and dummy)

3:00pm
• Max is awake two hours from the time he was put to bed, regardless of how long he has slept
• Open the blinds and take his blanket off so he wakes naturally
• Change his nappy
• Offer him 100mls of milk
• Afterwards we play lots of games and teaching him words and walking and crawling to use up energy
• Take him outside for fresh air if the weather allows

4:15pm
• Offer him some juice and a biscuit or other snack

4:45pm
• He can have a 15 minute sleep so he is rested for dinner and his bath - he rarely does though

5:15pm
• Change his nappy

5:30pm to 6:00pm
• A couple of chicken nuggets, fish fingers or a sausage to eat himself
• Dinner time (large bowl of high carbohydrate food followed by fruit)
• Offer juice

6:30pm
• Max goes upstairs and plays while you get his bath ready

7:00pm
• Max has his bath followed by a massage

7:30pm
• He has 225mls of milk

8pm
• Max goes down in his cot with the door shut and we say goodnight and leave him to go to sleep by himself

My daughter;
wakes 9ish
bottle upon waking 6oz
solids about 1.5-2hours later with water or milk
nap about 3-4 hours after waking for about 1hour (somtimes 2)
solids after waking with water or milk
bottle about 1.5 hours after nap
nap again about 3hours after waking for only about 45min
snack upon waking (finger foods, cheese, fruit, meat etc) water
solids and water about 1.5 hours after waking
bath
bottle and bed about 830-900
she used to have 4 bottles, but out and out refused one in the afternoon so everything i read said just offer more solids if she seems hungry which is where the finger foods of snacks came in

My son is at the childminders now so he takes a half hour in the morning then an hour - 2 hours in the afternoon. We try to keep the same schedule at the weekends but he doesn't seem to mind if it's a little bit out !
