SICK with a bad head cold and cough...HELP!!

I'm feeling so much better...the head aches are kicking in now not cool but I have a mini cough but so much better! Glad you are feeling better!!

Oh we go tomorrow (monday) to find out what we are having!! EXCITED!!

I had the same thing...I bought the neti pot by sinucleanse and it has worked miracles.  It's a saline solution rinse for you nasal cavities and it works!!!

I was saying the same thing last night to my husband. This kid isn't going to know my voice...I'm going to have to cough at the baby so he knows who I am! Yeah, belly work out is right!! It's getting better at least my dr. seems to think so....we shall see!!!

Well, I've only gotten worse with my at home remedies. I started running fever on Monday and attempted to get it to break with cold baths, cold compresses and tylenol. I spoke to my OB yesterday morning and was told to go to my GP if I couldn't break it. So, i went late yesterday afternoon. He put me on Zythromax. My fever finally broke early early this morning. 

I have an awful cough too. I don't think Robitussin comes in pill form. I've been taking the regular cough version. I still seem to cough till I wheeze. My child is going to know me by my barking cough. It's been giving my belly a major work out! :)

I'm still sick and coughing my head off too! This is not fun! I'm moving to the next step! I forgot what Robitussin I'm allowed to use those...nice right. I'm just hoping its in pill form cause I can't do the liquid! It's been 2 weeks now. When I went last friday to the dr. she said it will take a while since we aren't allowed to have certain things in our bodies because of the babies. I'm drinking a lot of peppermint no caff. tea just to help me breath! UGG!!

I'm actually just getting over the same thing. I used Robitussin, as suggested by my doctor, both the daytime and nighttime versions. It has helped immensely. I still have something, but it's gotten a lot better and I can funtion much better.

What's a Neti pot cause at this point I'll try anything! :) I'll ask my doc on Friday when I go infor my appt. if I can take the tylenol cold cause I have used that before and it's worked! :)

The nasal saline is awesome... You may want to look into a Neti Pot or something similar for nasal irrigation... I use to use it for my allergies.

My doc says any of the tylenol cold/sinus but only take one pill & Robbitussen (sp??) of for the cough.

The nurse finally called me back. She said I can take the nasal saline spray...working alright, pepermint tea to clear my nose and or robbitussin (don't know if I spelled that right). I'm not big on liquid medications but I guess the only robbitussin I can take doesn't come in the pill form. yay! I'm still doing my sudafed and long hot steamy showers to clear my nose. My throat doesn't hurt much anymore. The nurse said I will have to wait everything out because if it's not in my chest yet then no real meds. But sleep while my husband and 3 year old are gone are perfect. Oh and coughing stuff up is good...ew! lol

I feel like I have just recieved back stage passes to SNOT FESTIVAL 2009!  (SNOT Fest is what I have come to effeciently call this season when all my preschoolers have runny noses and lost of gross GERMS!)

I feel so yucky... nothing seems to be working! I really hope and pray she gives me the okay to take something today! :)

I'm not quite as sick as you but my husband brought home a bit of a head cold. My dr. said to take Benadryl and it worked great. It got rid of my runny nose and sore throat. Apparently it's not just for allergies anymore. However, it did make me really really sleepy. I hope you feel better!!!

I'm doing the same thing..resting when I can since I have a 3 year old...and drinking OJ and water when it's cool. I'm still waiting on a phone call from the nurse but nothing yet!! ugg... :) Hope your starting to feel better soon! Let me know what the doc says :)

I'm dealing with the same thing! I work with kids and they have all been sick or absent with various nastiness! I have  a sinus infection with post nasal drip that has turned my throat raw! Going in for my check up tomorrow... I'll let you know what my doc says

I've been drinking oj, taking Tylenol and resting when I can!
