I had like no stretch marks untill i was like in my 7 month then one day BAM they started showing up. i have been trying to use lots of differnt lotions but no of them are working, I mostly am just using them to prevent being itcy! I like that tho Battle Scares hehehhehe

Just because your skin is itchy dosn't mean your going to get steatch marks.... my skin has been itchy like crazy for the last month and I havn't seen any marks yet just keep up with cocoa butter and baths every other night to keep your skin moistured and when you get out of the bath/shower use your regular body lotion and it should reduce the amount of stretch marks you get.

I didn't get any stretch marks until the 7th month of my first pregnancy. I used cocoa butter lotion too, but it didn't work for me, lol. Hopefully it will for you! Make sure you rub it on everywhere, because I also got stretch marks on my thighs and breasts. Good luck!! =)

I didn't get any stretch marks until the last 4 weeks of my first pregnancy and I had used the lotion every day from the day I found out I was expecting!!  Oh well....they have faded almost away and now I guess I will see if they get worse with this pregnancy.  My mom doesn't have anything visible left on her belly and she had BIG babies!

Thanks everyone!! I have been staying hydrated and using my moisturizer. The itching has seemed to go away mostly. I think I was just going through a bit of a growth spurt. So far I'm not seeing any stretch marks yet and I just found out I am 2 weeks farther along than we thought. Hopefully genetics will be on my side...lol.

I have been advised by my antenatal nurses, docs and friends that using a good moisturiser is about all you can do because stretch marks come from the inside. Most products reduce stretch mark appearances which means they have to be there for them to have any effect. Also don't scratch just moisturise if they are itchy, scratching assist them to become more red and less likely to fade. I can see sort of stretch marks beginning to show.

i work with many pregnant women, all of the women didnt really get stretch marks till the 7th or 8th month. and some women get lucky and dont get any at all. or some women wont get any till there 2nd or 3rd baby. basically it comes down to you and your body though. if ur mom, aunts, sisters had them then the chances of you getting them is probably very likely. i so far have been lucky and have not gotten any stretch marks, ive been using st. ives elastingen lotion, i put it on everytime after i shower. and so far i have really no problems with the itchy belly either.

It sounds more like right now you're just seeing the veins on your stomach, I am 19 weeks today and just this last week I have started to notice that I can really see my veins now on my abdoman and sides, which is the same thing that happened with my first pregnancy.  I never got any stretch marks on my stomach with my first pregnancy and am hopping to have the same luck this time around.  I think it just depends on your body, some people are more prone to them than others.

Use the Palmer's & stay hydrated however, from what I've read it is more of a genetic thing. Either you skin has good elasticity or it doesn't. My mom had crazy stretch marks and now so do I. I couldn't care less... they are just my pregnancy battle scares ~;)
