My 7-month old baby is not very vocal, although he smiles and laughs a lot. His hearing appears to be fine as he responds happily, although silently. He also does not cry much either. Is this normal?

Consider yourself lucky! Not that I would trade the way my little man is for anything, but he can be VERY loud sometimes. Just very, very vocal. He's constantly babbling away and when he cries, he cries! He went through a phase where he discovered he could screech and he did it constantly. I don't think there's anything wrong with your little guy, probably just quiet. But if you're worried, ask your doctor. In the meantime, enjoy the quiet! ;)

my 7mth old crys alot but my sisters son was like yours i think he should be ok he is just a happy baby but if u are to worried i would talk to his doc about it
