Micah said dada at 7 months. His brother was around the same age. Then at 8 months old Andrew said mama. So I am excited to see what Micah picks up next.

my son is 8 months and says Mumma now and again although he had said what sounded like dada once! Used to sound like he said Mumma when he was upset and very young but was never sure if I just heard what I wanted to hear lol! x

Hang in there! My son said DA DA right at 5 months old and just recently said MA MA at nearly 9 months old!! Took him forever, but it was worth the wait!

my daughter started saying dada around 7+ months and associates it with her dada- even says it when she sees a picture of him. she has been saying mama too but doesn't seem to associate it directly with me but it's hard to tell!

my son was only 4 months old when he started saying dada... he didn't say mama until 6 months old - to this day he does not say mama that often, but my husband says that when I'm gone he says mama loud and clear. He is now saying baba and I believe that he is also trying to say bath as well.

My son is 8 months, and he started saying dada when he was 7 months, Now it have progress to bababa. I've been told that its easier to start with the b's and d's first and rarely a baby would say mama first.

Liam said MaMa at 4 months, DaDa at 5 months, and NanNan at 6 months. nothing new since then (he is 8 months) dont worry, every baby is different. He is learning who MumMum and DadDa are, as I learned the other day when he came to me whingey saying DadDa, and I said, hey, you want me, gotta say mummy , and he switched to Mumma straigt away!!

my daughter says mama...no dada and i wish she would soon lol. She said it around 6 months. My son said mama first as well and it was around the same age. There is a myth that if your child says mama first your next child will be a girl and if they say dada first it'll be a boy...like i said my son said mama first and we had a girl and now she says mama first so we'll see lol

My son started saying "kitty" shortly before he turned 7 months, and Dada wasn't far behind at 7 months exactly. Still no sign of Mama, but I know it'll happen eventually. Maybe he just doesn't say it because he knows I'm there whether he calls for me or not.
