What are you packing to bring the baby home in?

First time mom and my list just says a coming home outfit. I really have no idea what to pack! I've already packed a few things for me and my hubby, but I'm stumped as to what to pack for the baby! It's probably going to be a scorcher since she's due July 7th, but I also need to consider the AC in the hospital, car, and at home. I guess maybe one of those long open sleepers with a blanket, hat, and socks?

Baby's take a few month's to be able to regulate their temp... so I'd have a couple of options and wraps are good for all times of the year especially light ones that you can layer. My hubby and I went shopping together for a coming home outfit for our first bubba, and are planning to do the same for this one. Also, take a couple of cute outfits... my first baby always pooed through the nappy and up the back, singlet and suit for the first few weeks - always just before we had to go somewhere.

My children are all summer babies. My first I just packed a onsie. My second, I packed a onsie and a short-sleeved one-piece outfit. The third a onsie, and a long-sleeved one-piece outfit that came with a hat. This time, I have packed a cute shorts outfit, and a pants outfit. But overall, it depends on what you want for pictures and yes, layering is key. You may also want to pack a few extra onsies because some of the hospital ones are ugly!

I packed a onsie, socks, a hat and a receiving blanket to bring my little guy home in. I agree with the layers idea, you can always add a blanket if it is cold or take it off if it seems too hot.

I think I'm going to pack a onesie with socks and a hat, but make sure to have a blanket. I'm thinking the key is layers, so that you can adjust as needed. ^_^
